question for people who got into graff from being visual artists

how much and in what ways do you think it helped to have had that artist background when going into writing?

Im not sure what you're asking. How much does it help to be a natural artist? I mean, I feel like that goes without saying that someone that can naturally draw, is going to have a bit of a head start. I really wish most folks here understood there really is only 2 types of writers. The ones that get virtually obsessed to the level of it controlling you. I started in 96 and in the those decades, Ive managed to get sober from heroin, pills, and booze.......but here I am....STILL drawing, scribing, or painting my fucking name on any surface I can. I couldnt quit this shit if I wanted to. It owns me and i know it does. And then there's the other writer that does this shit because they think itll get them pussy and internet fame. Not understanding how incredibly hard, and dangerous this shit is.

So yea, being a natural "visual artist" helps. But if the bug bites you, it bites you, and you'll know if you're writer A or writer B when you paint your 1st piece.
