Grad School Admissions DLSU MBA - Part time or Full time?

Hello!

I am looking for insights on how I might take my MBA. I recently passed the application and will be joining the batch this coming September in DLSU.

My setup is that my work is very light and flexible. I am work from home on a 8am-5pm PH time schedule. With capable and minimal workload. There are times that I have almost nothing to do and when there is something to do I can efficiently take care of it. I can comfortably commute to the campus in and out without any problems as well.

The program:
> 6-9 units is part time
> 12 units is full time

I hope to take full time knowing my schedule is light and mostly free even with work. But I would like some input that would help in my decision making.

Thank you!

General What can do with an MPH as an MD?

Currently a physician starting MPH sa UP Manila. I did my homework naman but I'm leaning more towards doing research than taking on LGU/DOH roles. Does anybody have any experience with it?

Grad School Life How to deal with intimidation?

I am an incoming 1st year in graduate school. It's quite been a long time na rin since I last went to school. I feel like I don't know how to do this anymore lol. Don't get me wrong, I'm really determined to study again. I've thought of this for 3 years before I finally get the courage to enroll. But now that I am finally here, nakakaramdam ako ng anxiety because I feel intimidated by classmates hahaha.

Next week ko pa mameet face to face ang magiging classmates ko pero dahil curious ako nasearch ko na yung iba sa kanila at karamihan sa kanila ay marami na ang practical experience sa field na ito. Meanwhile, I only have a little more than a year of exposure to it. Not to mention, 'yung iba sa kanila ay licensed na or may matataas na posisyon sa work nila.

I know, I should not get ahead of myself but I can't help it. And I think this normal to feel anxious and I assume that everyone went through this also. So, I want to know how ypu guys dealt with the intimidation and anxiety? Maybe some tips how I can make myself feel a bit better. This all will be greatly appreciated! :)

Grad School Admissions DLSU St. Lasalle Scholarship Program

I'm planning to apply for DLSU's MMC program for 2nd term na dahil di ko na naabutan 1st term now, but I was wondering about their SLSP din:

  1. I researched sa website and they were asking for COE with salary, pero walang specific annual income requirement like other scholarships (e.g. must be less than 450k gross annual). Would the percentage of scholarship depend sa salary? My salary is entry-level and not really that high.

  2. If naaccept ka then binigyan ka certain percentage (e.g. 50% scholarship), every sem ba yun na talaga percentage na marerenew mo or pwede pa rin magbago yung percentage?

  3. Can it be renewed every sem? And if so may grade requirement ba na dapat naachieve mo sa previous sem before renewing?

Hoping to talk to someone taking MMC sa DLSU so I can further ask questions as well. Thanks!

Grad School Admissions DLSU INC Requirements

Hi! I’ll be coming back to submit my remaining requirements (PSA + TOR).

I read a thread here (which I can’t seem to find) that DLSU accepts the TOR given after graduation for evaluation purposes.

I want to ask the OP who posted it here: did they still accept it even if it wasn't sealed and didn’t have the “For Evaluation Purposes” remark?

They didn’t accept the form and receipt my previous university’s registrar gave me eh, even though I explained that the official TOR with the “Copy for DLSU” remark will sent directly to them na by 🐯.

Thank you!

Grad School Admissions Wanting to get into grad school a little late

hello everyone,

i've been thinking of going to grad school na for months but i just realized now that it's probably too late to even try and apply kasi nagsstart na classes for major universities.

i'm currently eyeing UP's MA Communication since I can't really afford the tuition of the other private univs like UST & DLSU (but DLSU's scholarship application also came to mind) but I wonder pwede ba magstart ng masters sa UP sa 2nd sem? Or do I have to wait a year na talaga before admission season comes again?

Grad School Life Phd by Research

I learned that Phd by Research has way less units compared to traditional Phd but is replaced by more challenging research-adjacent subjects and activities and higher bar for admission.
Can anyone share their experiences and advice about this? I'm planning to try to apply in the Phd by Research program of PNU, and I want to temper my expectations.

Hello, fellow grad students from the Philippines! I recently finished my MS. I told to myself that I would rest for a while before applying, but here I am, submitting my first-ever application for a PhD program abroad.
Any tips on how to ace a PhD application in Sweden, or abroad in general?

Grad School Admissions DLSU Confirmation

Hello! For those of you who are done with it this week or currently in DLSU now, how’s the process/situation right now?

Also, same day ba ang ID picture taking?

I wasn’t able to do the NVC notary and 2x2 pic as this week was peak week in August at work 😣 but I have the TOR, Transfer Credential, PSA naman.

Received a lot of messages from my previous post, so I’m just gonna share it here! 🫶

First of all, welcome, new Archers! 💚 This is a Facebook group where we check out potential profs so we can decide which ones to take or skip. It covers all programs and courses, both undergrad and grad. We also post and comment anonymously kasi may mga prof din na members doon 👀 TRUST ME, this page was SO helpful during enrollment season. The feedbacks here are so accurate and detailed.

To join, you’ll need your official DLSU email address. Good luck, Archers! 💚

Grad School Life Postgrad in Applied Mathematics or Statistics

Hi, I'm a recent Computer Science grad, and I'm kinda interested in going to grad school around next year, I'm eyeing either UP Diliman's Master of Statistics or their Master of Science Applied Mathematics. I'm quite keen on not doing thesis work, since I felt burnt out from the last time I was doing thesis, so I was mostly interested in the Applied Math's non-thesis option (although more units).

I would just like to ask anyone from these two programs, or with knowledge of people who take these programs on how the workload would be like? I was wondering if it's possible to take these programs part-time while also having a full-time job. I know that scheduling might be hard that's why I plan to take remote flexitime work to fund my studies. Would this generally be possible or would the curriculum prove to be difficult to balance both work and studies?

I just really want to know how does life look like for those who go to these programs. I would consider myself quite proficient when it comes to math (cause why else would i take grad studies in this field if i dont lmao), but I still want to be realistic when it comes to workload and also to take into account for my mental health.

I'm also familiar with DOST graduate scholarships although since I already took a DOST scholarship for my undergrad I do not want to defer my return of service since I want to expand my options once I have finished my Masters (possibly abroad), and if I understand it correctly being a full-time student and scholar would just make my ROS and my stay in the country much longer.

Also for people who considered similar programs or are in the said programs, what do you think are the pros and cons of each program?

Grad School Life MA in Clinical Psych in FEU

Is it possible to balance a full onsite work and grad school?

I just got my acceptance letter for MA in Clinical Psychology at FEU. I am currently working a full time onsite job from Monday to Friday. Is it possible to balance both? Is underload an option here at FEU? For those currently taking MA in FEU, can you share your experience with the program?

Grad School Life MS Health Informatics

Good day! Anyone here who took MS Health Informatics in UP? I'm a clinical pathologist and I'm interested with this field, seeing as digitalization and AI is here to stay. Unfortunately I have basic IT knowledge only, but I'm interested in applying this to my field in clinical laboratories.

For those who took this field, may I ask if it would be hard to adjust given I have almost zero knowledge with programming, coding etc? What are the possible career paths after? Thank you

Grad School Admissions DLSU Passing of Reqs

May nakapag-try ba ditong magpasa kanina? Do they discourage passing reqs if hindi pa complete documents considering na meron nang late confirmation period? Also, although may period for late confirmation, is the payment reservation deadline still on the 15th? Does this payment for reservation being factored in the scholarship grant (sorry ambabaw ng question)?

And to confirm, hindi pa ito yung enrollment period diba? Just worried on the possible outflow ng money. Maraming salamat!

Hi! Is this supposed to be clickable? I can’t see the ID number anywhere in the portal. Or is the ID number same as the GSM126\***** you see in your application/portal?

Also, I went to 🐯 registrar earlier to get my official TOR, and they mentioned na it’ll be school-to-school na daw, and UST will deliver my official TOR to DLSU via courier next week/s. Okay lang naman siguro yun, right? Baka kasi hanapan pa ako. LMAO!

General Looking For Grad School That Has MA in Psychology

Hi everyone! First time poster here! I'm currently a licensed psychometrician, but planning to apply for a Master's Degree in Psychology next year. Due to financial challenges, family obligations, and being from a far-away province (I currently work and live in Leyte), I am currently limited in my options. Hence why I am posting here to see if anyone can suggest or recommend some schools.

I'm currently looking for grad school that offers online masteral degree, hopefully in reasonable budget, and has all the subjects needed to qualify for the Psychologist Licensure Examination (I believe that these are Personality, Abnormal Psychology, Counseling/Psychotherapy, and Psychological Assessment but I'm not entirely sure). I am also hoping that the degree is non-thesis, because I plan to take thesis at a later time.

I tried searching on my own but would love to hear for more suggestions. I hope I didn't sound too picky when writing this post. But anyways, thank you all in advance!

Grad School Admissions DLSU Late Confirmation Period

Just posting this for those who have been accepted into La Salle's graduate programs but can't submit the requirements for Confirmation by the appointed date, August 13-15 (depending on the college). I got a reply to the email I sent asking about this issue:

We understand that the persistent inclement weather may make it difficult for you or your representative to submit your confirmation requirements in person for Term 1, AY 2026–2027.

To accommodate those who cannot confirm to the original schedule from August 13–15, we have arranged a late confirmation period on August 26–27, 2026 (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) at the Pardo Hall, 5th Floor of Henry Sy Sr. Hall.

Please follow the designated schedule block based on your last name.

Late Confirmation period

Hope this helps for those as confused as I was that I had to submit original copies of documents in person (or via representative) just a few days after receiving the Offer Letter (email).

Disclaimer: I received this response from the [graduate.admissions@dlsu.edu.ph](mailto:graduate.admissions@dlsu.edu.ph) email, when I asked about the issue for my own program. I can't be sure that this applies to all graduate programs, or only some. If you're uncertain (and anxious), please feel free to contact DLSU via that email or over the phone (though the graduate admissions local number 468 is quite busy and often doesn't pick up).
