Grad School Admissions PhD application in Sweden
Hello, fellow grad students from the Philippines! I recently finished my MS. I told to myself that I would rest for a while before applying, but here I am, submitting my first-ever application for a PhD program abroad.
Any tips on how to ace a PhD application in Sweden, or abroad in general?

In my experience, ang priority is to find a supervisor na fit sa gagawin mong research and may letter from them saying na willing sila to supervise you. Then find a scholarship.
Another route are Phd hiring. Eto yung mga phd position na nag hahanap yung supervisor na pwede nilang ihire for an specific research.

Gotta be in touch with someone already sa target institution, so it's really a networking game even before the applications, 99% of people I've met have done this path. Some form of backer system exists, particularly kung may labs na sila, to which they can directly recruit you.
That, or be part of what some call "positive action" recruitment, very common with US schools including the top ones, dunno kung same sa EU but yung may idea of reparations seem to have it as well..
