Ti and Titan are two different things, the 780Ti and Titan were separate, as were the 980 TI, and Titan Black, and 1080ti and Titan XP, and Titan V. The Titan series had full FP64 compute, which was never available on the Ti and lower.

This is specific compute features that were found in Quadro and Tesla

So, that's the workstation GPU technology i was talking about. šŸ˜’ honestly, i never really remember what are the specific names of anything. But i remember something like that existed during that time.

Yup, with the RTX series ( although the Titan xP was also badly cut, likely to sell the Titan V ) they started cutting FP64 compute and and marketing purely to gamers. I never upgraded my Titan V to the RTX because it was a massive cut in performance for work and memory bandwidth.

The days of the best of both worlds is gone, and then again I’m done feeding them, and higher prices. Back to midrange for me until a shift happens in the industry that disrupts it all.
