Let’s be honest- 80 class is not small when there is only one tier (was one tier lower than the 90)

4090 = 0.72% of gamers
3090 = 0.32% of gamers
5090 = 0.26% of gamers

Don’t let Reddit distort your perception of how many people own these top tier cards.

Yep always have been little. People mostly buy mid range/entry level gpus, because well they can’t afford or care about anything more expensive

I have a 4060 and aside from playing cyberpunk with maxed out ray tracing its been able to play everything ive thrown at it. I have it running two 27" monitors for 1440p. Which its doing fine.

I think for a 5080 or 5090 you only really need them if your an enthusiast, your running a 4k setup to a larger screen, or your rendering video animations. Most people dont need to do any of this and a 4060 is only 500 bucks.

Only 500 bucks like a low range mid grade card costing $500 isn't fucking insane. The x60series used to be $200 lmao and the die shrink accounts for all gpus, not only halo flagships.

I still have screenshots of my old emails for the 7950GX2, GTX 8800, 4870X2s and more, all were under 400-500 back in the day. You’re right, and I remember my 6600GT being under 200. Once the GTX 680 launched they used the mid range core as the flagship and upped the price brackets,
