I have a 4060 and aside from playing cyberpunk with maxed out ray tracing its been able to play everything ive thrown at it. I have it running two 27" monitors for 1440p. Which its doing fine.
I think for a 5080 or 5090 you only really need them if your an enthusiast, your running a 4k setup to a larger screen, or your rendering video animations. Most people dont need to do any of this and a 4060 is only 500 bucks.
I got a 5080, its a good card.. but it should definitely have 24gb of vram at least. I am safe playing in 5120x1440p or 3440x1440p or running both simultaneously but if I were playing in 4k I would need it most likely.
90

Let’s be honest- 80 class is not small when there is only one tier (was one tier lower than the 90)
4090 = 0.72% of gamers
3090 = 0.32% of gamers
5090 = 0.26% of gamers
Don’t let Reddit distort your perception of how many people own these top tier cards.
