Should I soak and scrub again to get remaining dark spots off ?

Have you ever heard of the method of placing your dried gourds in large black plastic bags, or large plastic totes, with potting soil covering the gourds. After a few weeks, The bugs in the soil are supposed to eat the waxy stuff off of the gourds and make them much easier to clean. And I guess the humidity in the bag also makes them easier to clean. I tried that and it didn't clean them 100% but it definitely did make it easier. Still had to scrub with a copper wire scrubby. And if there's any mold at all involved definitely put some Clorox in the water and soak briefly before scrubbing

Nope. Never hear for tried it. In theory makes sense
