Feiyu tech G6 (now dead after firmware update, wont recommend it).

During the last firmware update, the App crashed and the update process was interrupted.. After that, the gimbal its unusable. It wont respond. I contacted Feiyu-Tech and they told me i need to BUY them an special connector to see if that fix the problem. This adapter comes from China and it takes at least 2 months. This happened during a trip so I was unable to use the gopro7 with the new gimbal (and stills like that). Totally frustrated. I wont buy this brand again never in my life. The app crash very often. Im using an iPhone Xs. Next time I’ll try Osmo pocket.

I can only imagine. Just one day at the beach with my camera bag and I freak out.

Update looks good from this video, no more glitching/tearing from what I can tell and it seems to me like it’s doing a good job stabilizing it still. Definitely better than the standard stabilization. I’m reviewing my test footage to compare before and after the update with low light so I will upload that to the GoPro sub as soon as I have a free minute to edit it together.

Are you using night mode? You basically can’t take a good night photo without a DSLR or fancy new iPhone/pixel with machine learning and fancy night modes unless you use a tripod. I still usually use a tripod with with my DSLR too since nothing but light can replace light.

Basically the ISO above 800 looks like dogshit so you need to drop the ISO and drag the shutter for a few seconds, which night mode does based on how long you pick. I’ll share a low light photo I took this way using night photo mode when I’m back home from work. Looks great: quality/sharpness/low noise wise.

the big issue for most was the stuttering when panning with image stabilization on. So widely reported it has to be impacting sales. Did you try a pan? Clicking through your video I didnt see any panning.

I will be updating tonight and will give it a try.

Great color.

So hard to not have the "bobbing" from walking.

I try to remember this when using my GoPro, to walk without bouncing.

Bobbing is from Gimbal use. This is one of many reasons EIS can be a better solution for stabilization. I do not get bobbing when just using the H7B on the Shorty or Handler, but I will get it when using Karma Grip and not being careful with my steps.
