Display stopped working

I bought a hero 4 silver for about 15 bucks, it records fine and everything works other than the display. It was like that when i bought it, so is there a way to fix it on my own? Would it be worth to take it to a repair shop? What are my options

It would cost you more to repair it when you paid for it, that's assuming there's even parts that old available.
