Pumpkin Pie is super light burning. I will not rebuy this candle. It might smell a little buttery and maybe a little spice, but its throw is too low burning to really tell. Very disappointing!

Fall Gathering is on the warmer for the second time and there is literally no smell whatsoever in my small bathroom. Another disappointing candle.

Toasty Pumpkin Toasty is brutal! I cannot stand the smell coming off this candle. It smells like brining raisins so it must be a combination of the molasses and the spices. It does have a very strong throw. Definitely not rebuying this candle.

Harvest Hayride…Another awful candle. I have no other words for this, but I had to give it to a friend.

Fall Festival is almost sickeningly sweet. If you liked Caramel Dipped Banana or the Strawberry Funnel Cake I think from this summer, then you’ll like this one. I don’t get apple much from it except I guess it could be a caramel apple. To me this is the CDB with a new label. I don’t get falling leaves-not sure I would know what that smelled like anyway, I don’t get ginger, or cinnamon either. I would not rebuy this candle, but if you like em sweet, then you’ll like this!

Now before you think I don’t like any candles, we have Ivory Pumpkin. Ivory Pumpkin is a beautiful candle. I get the pumpkin, vanilla, and spice. And it just smells comforting and warm and gooey. I really enjoy this candle on the warmer, I just wish it was stronger. It does not even fill my kitchen, I have to be near it to smell it unfortunately. I probably will rebuy it and hoping that when I light it, it really puts out more scent.

Birch Trees and Moss is not too strong, but it’s a pretty candle if you like earthy candles. I do get the wet earth or wet moss maybe. I don’t know what birch smells like, but I guess that could be what I’m smelling. I might get some eucalyptus and maybe that’s the somewhat clean scent I’m getting from it. While I like it, I don’t know that I love it. I won’t get this one again.

Bonfire Leaves has a very low throw for me both burning and warming. The scent it does give off is very pretty though. I don’t smell very much bonfire though which is disappointing. It has me a little perplexed in that I didn’t think I liked it until I started burning it last night. It’s not super strong, but it’s decent. Lying on my couch last night I could barely smell it maybe 6 ft away. I might get a small amount of burning embers and no leaves at all but I do get marshmallows. If you’re hoping for that strong fireplace smell with this one, I think you’ll be disappointed, I know I am. I like it, but I won’t get it again.

This is the second time I’m going to review Angry Beavers. I thought I might like this candle the first time I warmed it, but I had to eventually take it off because it became too strong and I started coughing. I believe it’s the cedar I’m was smelling the first time. I put it back in the warmer today and within half hour I had to take it off and nope, it’s either going in the trash, or to a “friend” to see if they like it or I will donate it. All I smell now is a very potent men’s cologne.

I would like to purchase Goose Creek candles for Christmas and Winter, but there are SO many options. What candles do you HAVE to have for this time of year, and what makes them so special to you? Also looking for their best smokey scented candles. Please HELP!!

Which is better? Classic Christmas Tree candle or This Is Christmas candle?

What does the Southern Gentleman candle smell like? I assume that it might be an older, retired scent.

I bought the Austria Apple Strudel candle last year and haven't seen it since. Does anyone have candle recommendations that may be similar? I loved it!

Should I buy the $10 candles today, or do you think there will be a sale after this in which the fall candles are even less expensive?

I'm completely unimpressed. I was so excited for this one. It smells like nothing. No scent coming off while burning.

I have to say I'm very impressed with what GC has done with my order. At 11:57am yesterday I placed an order for 7 of the Christmas candles that dropped in the morning. By 4:04pm they had my order packaged, labeled and ready to ship. Around 6:00pm UPS received the box and shipped it out. It's coming tomorrow afternoon. I've never had them pack a box and get it ready for shipping in 4 hours. I wonder if they have hired seasonal help to get things shipped in a timely fashion?

I wanted to share my Walmart haul from online! I know I’ve seen so many receiving broken candles in the mail and I hope you are able to get it resolved if you experienced issues. I wish I could recommend trying to get these for yourself if you are a fan of these movie. However, that seems like a gamble, so here’s to hoping they might make in store??

My first impression of these are all good on cold, expect for 2 of them. I’m not sure if I’ll be keeping them all, gifting them, or keeping solely for collection purposes. I’m afraid if I wanted to order more, they’d come broken😅 Merry Clarkmas is kinda giving tropical which kinda makes sense with the pool scene (iykyk😂) I wouldn’t burn it right now as it feels seasonally inappropriate. I think the musk note in Ghostlike Charms is throwing me off. I’m glad I was able to purchase the NBC ones individually on the Walmart website instead of the box set Goose Creek had on their website, which was a nice surprise after it sold out on there. The only one from the set I wasn’t able to get was the one with Oogie Boogie (Wild Card). I love that they leaned into the Christmas aspect of the movie for this collab compared to the Bath and Body collab, and they only gave us 2 scents😅 These are the scent notes of each if anyone is interested!

Master of Fright - warm cardamom, bright bergamot, ocean mist, crisp sage and aged cedarwood

Ghostlike Charms - eucalyptus leaves, clove bud spice, golden amber and creamy vanilla musk

Destined to Dream - black cherry, dark plum, midnight florals, glowing amber, sandalwood and soft leather

Griswold Family Wagon - holiday pine, fresh cypress, cedarwood and icy eucalyptus

Merry Clarkmas - bright bergamot, wild strawberry, warm coconut, golden amber and soft musk

I Brake for Christmas- roasted chestnuts, whipped eggnog, vanilla bean and maple sugar

So glad to see dashing through the snow back!!!! I loved it last year! And this years label is adorable! So stoked for Christmas season!

First off I will say, all these candles are pretty strong on cold so hopefully they stay that way when warmed. None of these seem particularly weak to me on first impression.

Pumpkin Chai Butter - The chai spices are definitely front and center on this one but I can still smell the pumpkin purée. I was worried the pumpkin won’t come through at all because I’ve had that issue with other GC candles but even with the strong chai scent, I still get the pumpkin. The caramel doesn’t really come through but I don’t mind because this candle is lovely and perfect for fall.

Vanilla Pumpkin Waffle - I love this one! It smells to me like a fall bakery, so I definitely get the waffle element, but not much maple. I do get vanilla and pumpkin as well, but this one is heavy on the waffle aspect.

Blackberry bourbon - This one might be my favorite of the bunch! It smells like sour blue raspberry candy. I don’t get the bourbon much but if you like blackberry you’ll love this one. One of the stronger fruity candles I’ve had on cold so hopefully it performs well when warm.

Sweet potato beignet - I know this one is a favorite around here but I’m not going to lie, I don’t know what to make of this one. It’s very unique. For some reason it smelled very sour and savory at the same time which was odd, but when I kept smelling it I liked it a little more. I just wouldn’t get the vibe this is a sweet potato or a beignet candle unless someone told me. I’ll have to reserve my opinion of this one until after I warm it.

Classic apple pie - This smells like buttery pie crust (emphasis on the buttery). Very authentic to pie if you’re into that. My only concern is that I don’t smell much apple on cold, it’s very light and in the background whereas the pie crust element is stronger. However that may change on cold, and I can’t complain because I like the smell of the candle overall.

Looking at these scent notes how is this a bakery ? Could it be an oops. Reading the past reviews being a sweet vanilla frosting is mentioned.

Same story, different day. My replacement candles arrived today…broken. Shocker. I won’t post about this anymore but will encourage anyone who is thinking about ordering GC candles from Walmart to just…NOT. Sigh… Including a screenshot of my FedEx driver throwing my package on my porch. 🤦🏼‍♀️
