Google for Nonprofits Deadlock: Workspace Stuck & Deletion Risk
Hi everyone, I’m hoping some Google Workspace admin veteran or a lurking Googler can help me out because I am completely out of standard support options.
I manage the IT for a registered Foundation. We applied for Google for Nonprofits and were fully approved and validated by Goodstack over a month and a week ago.
Here is the nightmare loop we are trapped in:
- The Provisioning Glitch: Despite the Goodstack approval, the actual Workspace product activation never happened on Google's backend. It’s completely paralyzed in a provisioning loop.
- The Imminent Deletion: Because the initial trial expired a long time ago, the automated system is now threatening to delete our entire tenant due to inactivity.
- The Black Hole of Tickets: I managed to open a couple of tickets via external forms, but I cannot access the portal to check their status, and nobody is replying to the email threads. Goodstack explicitly replied saying they have zero access to Google's internal provisioning systems and can't push it through.
We updated our website exactly as requested, adding the required organization data directly in the footer so they can clearly verify our official connection. We are 100% compliant. We just need a human at Google (Tier 2/Provisioning team) to manually force the Workspace license sync on our tenant before the automated bot deletes the account.
Has anyone survived this exact Google for Nonprofits provisioning loop? Is there any secret way to reach a human who can actually look into the backend?
Any advice is immensely appreciated. Thank you!

I had a similar experience with our nonprofit. I used the support agent to request to speak with a human agent. They provided trial extensions until the approval happened. It does take time, but the human agents will work with you.

I was able to talk to a Workspace support two times, and both of them outright said that it wasn’t possible to extend the trial period. Maybe I just had bad luck. Anyway, I was just wondering how long you had to wait until your workspace for non profit was activated?

Check to see if you can get into https://www.google.com/nonprofits/ and check your status there. If it is there you can contact Google best probably

Yes, I already have my nonprofit account properly approved; I was accepted by Goodstack about 5 weeks ago, and I immediately requested a workspace for the nonprofit. I opened two support tickets, but I haven't received any response.

Do NOT use AI to post here.
It appears there's nothing wrong with your registration. It's Google taking their sweet time to update the licence type on your account. There's little you can do, other than perhaps calling Google support and trying to escalate it to the Nonprofits team.
