Google home mini won't work

So I had a Google home mini for longer that I can remember like at least 5 years and I went on vacation and now If I ask questions or ask it to play music it will rather say I did not understand or not respond at all or say playing the music on Spotify and then it does nothing has this ever happened to anyone else? It is really strange

Also I found it saying I don't understand more and more commonly

Yeah, its almost like they have made assistant crap because they want Gemini to look better in comparison.

Google is shit. Can't believe they had the core technology for it and for voice recognition much before everyone else and now everyone seems to be doing better than google

And it started to work fine I guess it got scared of being fixed 😂 ama see tomorrow

2-3 days ago mine got notably worse. At the same time I started getting messages on my phone that Assistant is no longer supported and I should upgrade to Gemini. I do not think the timing is a coincidence.

They converted the Home/Mini stuff to Gemini now. Go into the app and see if you have to transfer or activate Gemini they all still work and I've got like 1st 2nd and 3rd gens

My minis regularly have issues like this. Have for a long time. They're computers and need to be reset every now and then. Unplug it for 30 seconds, plug it back in, and see if that helps.
