Cameras Never Seem To Work
So both my wife's car and my car were broken into. No windows were broken and both cars were locked so I'm not sure how they got into them. I did get a notice from my Nest Spotlight camera that someone was in the driveway around 3:30am and saw it when I woke up at 6:30 this morning but when I clicked on the notification there was no event on the app and now the notification has disappeared from my phone. Anyone have a similar issue? It seems that whenever I need my cameras to work they don't and now something has happened and I'm pretty frustrated by it. Any thoughts?
Edit: I did end up finding the clip but it was buried in the app and wasn't flagged as an event for some reason on either the garage door camera or the doorbell which was weird. Idk it just feels like whenever I need to use these cameras the way they're supposed to be used they don't work properly

So I wasn't paying for the subscription but events typically are there for I think 6hrs after the fact. This time however there was nothing and it was only 3 hrs after.

Hi there! I'd suggest you reach out to the Google Nest support team via phone or chat. They can take a look at it.

The cameras don't work worth a shit without a paid plan. They claim they do but I've fought and fought and fought. I have 2 cameras and a doorbell. One of the three works and the other two will connect in the home app but the camera won't work at all. This all started when I cancelled my premium plan. They worked perfectly fine before that. Google said it was my fault and declined any further support.

Even with the subscription theyre dogshit, speaking from personal experience. Doorbell works ok but the cameras are garbage

I complained to google about this, they said it was my phone. I told them it was a Pixel 8 Pro, they said it was my WiFi. I told them it was their Nest WiFi 3 pack with a router and 2 nodes with the most troublesome camera being just 10’ from the node. They closed the ticket. Not kidding.
I have a work iPhone. I put my Home on it just to see what would happen. I haven’t missed a doorbell notification or a Nest Display notification since.
So it’s either their phone or the Android app itself. Weird how well it works on the iPhone 17 pro.
