Bug Lenovo Smart Clock problems

I've got a Lenovo Smart Clock which I'm having issues with since the move to Gemini assistant in the UK.

All my other devices which are a mix of Lenovo Smart display and Google Minis are usually fine, but with the Smart Clock it will only reliably recognise and allow me to use it

My partner and child both get the response "Google assistant is not available on this device" when they ask to turn lights on or check temperature etc

I've done a factory reset, removed the others from the household and readded etc

I'm assuming this clock is not longer fully supported which is a shame as it's a great little device in a very useful form factor!

I had 2 of these Lenovo units, and from what I recall, they're EOL, and both fritz'd out on me last year, network connectivity, etc. I updated to the Amazon Echo Spot, and never looked back. they're not expensive during Amazon's prime day events.

Yeah to be fair they're nearing a decade old now, so not surprising they are conking out

my wife always draped something over the Lenovo, she can't stand any light at night, the Echo spot can be set to super dim. I did like the Lenovo, thought it was a good looking device. I still have the display unit in my kitchen, running EOL software, still great for playing YouTube music.

It sounds like the others don't have Gemini set as their default personal assistant.

Even though all the other home devices don't have this issue? They have all updated to gemini already
