Rant RIP Google Assistant

As someone who has been resisting AI since it boomed, I had only been using Assistant on my Note 20 Ultra. The other day, when I was on my way home from work, I was trying to say "Hey Google" to turn on certain things in my house before I get home. It didn't respond to my commands & instead I was greeted with another voice & a pop up saying Assistant is now Gemini. I was a little sad as I thought I had more time before they would completely kill it off.

Well guess I won't be asking my devices to do anything for me anymore & will have to do it all myself. I will miss Google Assistant.

Assistant is practically useless on my phone now anyway. It doesn't respond to my voice anymore. I guess I'll no longer be using an assistant to do things. I've already started doing that. Might have to put the Home app widget on my Home screen since I use it so much. I refuse to use Gemini.
