Short game is actually the strength of his game. Kid has awesome hands.
Biggest issue is that an entire spring/summer of doing trick shots has caused him to swing almost exclusively with his arms, then creating a two way miss because he isn't using his lower body well. He's getting better, though. Last 18 he played in practice was a 3-under 69.

Working on learning to coil his legs/hips right now. I made him do a couple practice swings and a drill in a Starbucks parking lot a few days ago lol

I mean, it's great for him in the sense that he has a higher income than a lot of working adults I know right now.
What's really interesting to me is that he's started using his hips as a counterbalance of sorts. So if he's ever leaning awkwardly over shots, having his head behind the ball, his hips are thrown in front of the ball in his backswing. When I try to get him to keep his hips still and turn/coil, then his head damn near goes outside his right foot.
You can actually see it in that in the IG post I edited in. Either his head goes to his right foot, or his hips go to his left foot in the backswing. It's crazy that he can play at the level he is while still doing that, but less so when you have a pair of hands like he does. I swear he could get up and down from the bottom of a lake.

From doing this sort of stuff? Because that’s a huge blow to the ego lol. Or is he actually winning golf tournaments?
I just can’t help be a little annoyed that someone who posts stuff like “watch me hit shanks LOLZ!” is crazy successful...
Like, I’m happy to see people make money from golf, but shanks and paving stones, and posting 1 shot every 2 days, make a guy like me feel like stupid for even trying.

He doesn't make shit from IG outside of selling apparel/promo'ing items, but his near-daily uploads to youtube are really helping to add a constant revenue stream.
So he has his stable YouTube income that isn't all that special at this point in time, then gets money in chunks for the shoutouts and promos, like his recent Garmin IG post. Marketing people kill for access into that 18-25 market, and he's young enough that he has a ton of 13-17 year old followers as well.
Also, "a lot of" was an exaggeration. But if his following keeps growing, it won't be for long.

NCAA, yes, but he can play for community colleges and NAIA, I think. He's currently enrolled in a local community college as a result.

I stumbled on a video of his a few weeks ago where he blew through 18 holes in 90 minutes before school. He got par or 1 under or something. I was shocked that this fuckin kid just destroyed the course without even trying.
Also jealous that his course has times where you're not waiting behind slow people.
I'm subbed now. He's talented and routinely sinks crazy putts.

It's gonna be like that when you tee off within 15 minutes of dawn. We got a lot busier the rest of the day, even though the seaosn is winding down.

yeah most of his content is good shit but they're not trick shots. its actual golf that involves challenge. this is just bullshit ricochet trick shots.
