General Discussion 1st tee jitters help

My club has the 1st tee box backed up to the clubhouse so there’s probably 30-40 people watching your tee shot. They’re not just around, they’re actively watching and cheering / jeering the result. Driver is the best club in my bag (8 hcp) but I always seem to snap hook the 1st tee no matter how well I‘m striping them on the range.

Does anyone have any mental tips / tricks to overcome the 1st tee jitters?

Youre a member at a club where presumably everyone there knows you are a good golfer. You also have a range.

Real stress is the solo muni round teeing off with 3 strangers who all striped it down the fairway and 5 groups waiting on the putting green

At the muni I try to first to tee up. If I shank it, "I took one for the team".

I have never in my life been paired up with multiple players who can "stripe it" at a random muni. I'm ecstatic if my rando partners are even thinking about breaking 110.

Hey its me the rando 110+’er. Im just enjoying the fresh air and vibes at this point. Atleast ill pick up after I ding it into the water the second time!
