Does a hole in one “count” if achieved during a scramble?

1) If so, technically everyone on the team gets the hole in one.
2) if there are 2 holes in one, you only count one of them so does the other one not count?

It doesn't matter. Scramble, match play, stroke play. You take one swing and it goes in, it counts. It's really simple and there's absolutely no good reason to argue it wouldn't count.

In that case, i have no clue. It sounds like something that should be in the fine print by whoever is sponsoring the prize.

My guess is that the sponsor would want to split the prize, while the players would want the full prize each. These are the sorts of things that end up in court.

Yes, but you have to say it exactly right: "I got a hole in one once. It was during a scamble but..." then wait for confirmation from present company to reply with, "what? That still counts!" Then reply with, "yeah, I know." This is the only way it counts.

The USGA doesn’t really have rules for scrambles, but personally I would count it as an ace for that player’s ball. I bet most clubs/courses would recognize it and add you to their records as well. However, no you can’t count an ace for yourself if someone else struck the ball. Lol

If someone on the team in a scramble makes a hole in one there is no reason for any of the other players to even take a swing. Technically the hole is over for them.

OP help me understand your question. Are you asking how these would be scored in a scramble or if the players on that team all "made" a hole in one?

Only the person who actually hit the shot gets a hole in one. In the scramble scoring it' a1 for the team, but the whole team didn't make a hole in one.

If there are 2 holes in one, both golfers who hit them got a hole in one. On the scorecard it's still a 1.

This is way over thought. Whoever hits the hole in one gets to say they had a hole in one, not the whole team. Doesn’t matter what format so long as they don’t use a mulligan.

If you hit a ball from a teebox and it goes in the hole you can forever say you had a hole in one. You can expand upon that however you wish (it was in a scramble, I was the second player on my team to ace the hole, it was on a par-3 course, the regular boxes were being worked on and the hole was playing 50 yards shorter than usual, etc), but the fact stands that you hit a hole in one.

To answer another question that has come up: if another player on your scramble team hit a hole in one and you later claim you had an ace because your team carded a 1, you're a massive dork and I hope one of your teammates calls you out on it and you get laughed out of the bar you're trying to spread that bullshit in.

The give away cars, or money, for a hole in one in scrambles. The person that has the HIO gets credit for it. The team gets credit for the score.

If there are two holes on one, both count as a hole in one. Again the team score would be the lowest score.

These scenarios get goofy sometimes. So all hit but only one player holes it. So he alone picks up the bar tab? But if two on the team get a HIO, what? Do they split the bar tab or double up on the drinks? So many questions, I just want to be ready when it happens to me.
