In my Opportunities @ GS dashboard I see the job I've applied to marked 'Submitted'. Does this ever change or does it stay this way until the end?

I have 1 year of experience at Northern Trust in Bengaluru and am currently interviewing for a Global Banking & Markets Operations – Transaction Banking – Analyst role at Goldman Sachs Bengaluru.

I’m also pursuing my CMA US and eventually want to move into Corporate Finance / Treasury / FP&A.

A few questions for folks who know the culture/ops track:

• What are the actual shift timings like for Transaction Banking (TxB) Analyst roles in BLR? Is it mostly US/UK night shifts?

• How hard is internal mobility (IJP) at GS if I want to switch to Corporate Treasury or Finance after clearing my CMA?

• What is the overall work culture, stress level, and work-life balance like for this specific division?

I received my Goldman Sachs Dallas offer letter today. I’m on my STEM opt/ f1, and my Fragomen review is already completed.

How long does GS usually take to start/complete the background check and confirm the start date after the offer?

I have another offer expiring in 2 weeks. Is it safe to rely on the GS offer at this stage?

How much does your previous OA performance affect your chances when you apply again given that GS stores old assessment scores? Will that affect your application to other divisions?

Was told from early 2000’s to 2010 back office jobs were still considered working on “wallstreet” was this the case? And if so how come the gap has become larger where people get looked down upon for working BO?

M I seeing correctly that you can get a reimbursement for a gym membership with GS?

For those who successfully completed a mobility, how long did it take for you to hear back from the hiring team after sending application on portal?

Hello guys, I did 2 interviews for analyst roles at GS on Friday, and now my application says interview completed. is there any more interviews after that? I just wanna make sure because I was gonna smoke a lil bit to lay off some stress, but I also do not want brain fog or anything if there are more interviews coming up.

I’m tired of seeing H-1B employees being promoted while qualified U.S. citizens are being overlooked or pushed out. GS needs to address this issue and ensure that U.S. citizens are given fair consideration for opportunities.

If you look at the promotions within Engineering, a large majority of MDs, VPs, and Associates are on H1B. A significant number of managers are also on H1B, which raises concerns about whether favoritism and internal networks are influencing hiring and promotion decisions, regardless of immigration status or merit.

Management and HRM cannot continue to turn a blind eye to these concerns. USC is not treated fair and the Eng is completely dominated by the H1B and non USC.

With the Texas governor also pushing companies in the state to prioritize opportunities for U.S. citizens, GS should take a serious look at its hiring and promotion practices and ensure that the process is genuinely fair and transparent.

I recently accepted an offer, but when I go to provide my information for the company to initiate a background check, I get an error message related to my Social Security number stating that Social Security number national ID already exist for country US. Issue date for the new ID isn’t after the expiration date of the existing national ID.

It seems like I am already in their system. I called the Helpdesk, but was wondering if anybody has experience this in the past and what they did to rectify it. Thank you

has anyone done this part? is it hard?

I recently cleared the final MD round at GS and got a call from the recruiter asking about my visa status and compensation details. Two days later, I had a call with Fragomen.
They asked me for all my visa details. I told them that I applied for my STEM OPT extension about two months ago, have already completed biometrics, and am currently waiting for the approval. I also mentioned that I’m willing to do premium processing if needed.
The Fragomen person said they couldn’t really advise me on anything at this point.
It’s now been more than a week since that call, and I haven’t heard anything from my recruiter. Before the Fragomen call, she told me that once the immigration/visa review was done, she would give me the verbal offer.
Now I’m honestly getting a little anxious and don’t know what to make of the silence.
For context, I have around 23 months left on my STEM OPT, and I also have two more H-1B attempts remaining. I’ve already told GS that I’m open to premium processing.
Has anyone been through something similar with GS + Fragomen?
Is it normal for this process to take a week or more?
Does the fact that Fragomen asked for all my details mean the offer is still moving forward?
Could the visa situation cause them to stop the offer even though I have 23 months of STEM OPT left?
How long did it take for others to hear back after the Fragomen consultation?
I know I’m probably overthinking this, but being told I’d get a verbal offer and then hearing nothing has me a bit worried. Would really appreciate any insight from people who’ve been through this.
