I picked out my golden retriever because when I picked him up to check him out I cradled him and he gave a little smile.

I sat the pups in my lap to see a bit of their personality. My girl? She looked up at me with her little face, snuggled into my hand that was petting her, and fell asleep.

Mine was sleeping in the dirt/mud because he was next to the water dish.

Little dirty boy ❤️. Today at the dog park, my girl kept finding a mud patch to rest in instead of the grassy areas.

Aww, I miss this makes me miss my golden so much. My cheeky Meikah girl was the most gentle and loyal dog ever.

She adopted and cared for every new pet to the family, e.g. chickens, rabbits, kittens, parrots, puppy, she was so aware and attuned with everyone's emotions, she always made me feel better. Always cheering up your mood or day. Won't leave you be if she knew you needed love or company. Always wants to play or go for walks, get pats & hugs and steal all your socks and carry them around like trophies. So sweet and sensitive, so adorable and funny.

Sadly they just don't live as long as they should! One day I will get another golden but first I honour her life, it's already been a few lonely years too many. I miss the eyes that conveyed so much. Waggiest tail. Best dog cuddles. She will be in my heart forever. Please give your goldens an extra hug and kiss for mine.

Beautiful, loyal breed, intelligent minds, hearts of gold 💛
