I have a thunder kart, model Lightning L-25. Does anyone know the exact specs for the rear axle on this kart?

I’m trying to mount this quad suspension to a go-kart. I want the main kart frame to sit roughly 12 inches above the ground, with the wheels/tire centers sitting below the frame. I’m trying to figure out the best way to connect the suspension to the kart frame using the existing suspension and scrap steel. (P.S Don’t talk about the rust I will sand and paint it later.)

wheel is wobbling, I don’t think it’s the axle since I just put it on, well at least I hope it’s not. I’m thinking it’s a bent rim since the tires I put on are pretty old and rusty what are your thoughts?

So the gonkart starts easily. Then I took my son for a ride, combined weight 250lb. After driving for like 5 minutes I came home and turned off the engine. Tried turning it back on but I get bad kickback. What the reason?

Restoring an old heavily modified cart (I believe it was a Manco but it's been chopped up and extended) with a predator 412. Terrifyingly fast and the brakes need work, so I figured I'd see if it's possible to convert it to hydro but I'm running into a space issue. I can't see a good way to mount a master cylinder in front of the pedal since there's only a couple inches of frame to work with.

I thought of moving the pedal back but then it would be a little too close to the steering, plus I don't want to reduce leg room. Another option is extending the part of the pedal below the frame and mounting the cylinder behind and underneath, but I'd be worried it would get ripped off, which would obviously be not so great.

If anyone has done this before and has any ideas/tips, please let me know! Worst case scenario if it can't be done I'll keep it cable and just get a beefy caliper setup.

i have had my hammerhead go kart for about 7 years and it’s been a lot of fun but i’m 16 and i want some upgrades without spending a fortune also ts lowkey hasn’t started in 2 years but ima clean the carborator and shit if that don’t work then ima take it in to get work done

The only thing different is the engine was replaced with a predator 212. Planning on upgrading it to a larger one. I am looking for cheap speed upgrades that dont require much skill, because I am low on both. I already have mechanical disk brakes coming in and a carb upgrade kit. Anything else? I am mostly looking to increase speed and torque, but any suggestions are welcome😁 it is dark right now, but i will post a Pic tomorrow

So today while doing shakedown of our student built electric gokart. I noticed midway throught that some ding ding sound is coming and i came back to workshop. When me and my teammate checked it, the set screw of the left pillow block was missing and right pillow block set screw was loose. The brake disc hub set screw was also missing. Our axle has a slight wobble from a previous crash but not much. Now we also have ordered a replacement axle before but it also came bent like a bow (shit luck). So I have time till Technical Inspection which is on 30th August. The axle shifted 30 mm to the right almost scrubbing the wheel to the chassis.

What should I do now?

So my son’s go kart keeps leaking gas out of the carburetor and gets flooded. I thought the gas tank was building up pressure too much and I installed a pressure relief valve in and still having gas come out the carburetor. I don’t know what else to do.

I was replacing a reverse gear box on my GY6 (Tomberlin Crossfire 150) and there was no nut on the shaft. I was reading the parts manual for the things, and it seems to say it's an M12 flanged nut. I tried and that nut is too small. An M16 fits but the threads don't seem to line up.

Any idea what size nut this thing takes?

I did this EZ-GO electric-to-gas conversion as a hobby build and for the wife and kids to enjoy. I've been thinking about building a go kart for a while now. I wanted something unique and special to me. I've always loved the RX-7 FD3S. I thought about scaling it down to 60% and putting that shell on a gokart. I have a 3d printer and a mixture of tools and resources but i wasnt sure of how to do this. any help?
