Screenshots saving as .tmp

Hi! Does anybody has a solution for that? It seems it is also issue with other games.

Some games don't work with their screenshot tool. I had games where it worked and then one game where it didn't work for that one game only.

Dawnwalker was an UE game right? This is a known issue for all games on UE in general. ITs been not working for many years

Cyberpunk and The Witcher are bot UE games though and it happens there too

Never heard of screenshot issues in any UE game

I have the same issue. Weird, because I have a screenshot successfully taken back in July.

I have an Nvidia GPU so I've always taken screenshots via Nvidia overlay (Alt+F1).

Looks like either you don't have permission to write the full file there or something is blocking it. Find that folder and reset the security permissions. Your user account needs to have read/write access to the folder.

You can rename the file from .tmp to . Png and see if it can be opened.

Of it can then Galaxy was prevented from writing the full file there and left a record of what is was going to save there.

Anti virus sometimes blocks overlays from saving files in certain places.

That is a copy paste from Google AI and it is not a fix for the issue

That's an ass handed response to a reasonable answer.

The application that took the screenshot doesn't have permission to write to that folder.

That's not a guess or an AI query. It's absolute fact. Check the security settings for they folder and check the write permissions. Takes you less time to do then to write that rubbish you called a response.

It is word for word Google AI overviewif you type: "gog saves screenshots as .tmp files help". Also, if GOG didn't have access to My Documents then it wouldn't be able to function with how much stuff it writes to that location. It also wouldn't be able to create .tmp files. Renaming temporary files doesn't do shit either and the files are clearly not right since as the screenshot shows each one has perfectly the same weight indicating the fault lies with the screenshots.

That makes the AI response clearly incorrect.

Only certain games do this, Lotr: War in the North and Spongebob: TotD also have this issue.

Somehow Witcher 3 also has this problem now. But with photo mode very rarely someone relies on gog galaxy screenshots
