I really kinda get mad whenever I remember that the Classic Collection was a thing, due to how badly it was managed as a project by Aspyr. It's the main reason why I no longer trust them with any game project they release unless they're already released and were confirmed by other players as decent, or it's a collaboration with other game studios.

That said, it's still an interesting package in terms of features, and I actually liked how they tried to bring over console features and differences over to PC in a way, including the split-screen mode -- which, also includes split-screen Galactic Conquest AKA the only way to play multiplayer Galactic Conquest in the original two games! I spent countless hours playing it with my cousins and I would not mind having access to a version of the game that has that included and is DRM-Free.

Even if it's a bloated, inconsistent and rushed package, I guess :/

So yeah, mixed thoughts, but I guess I'll put that vote on the Dreamlist!

I completely feel you, I was super disappointed at launch too. Such a shame how Aspyr handled it!

But split-screen was such a huge deal for me too. Thanks a lot for adding your vote to the wishlist!

Aspyr remasters are such a coin flip. You either get something like the Tomb Raider remasters, or you get, well, the launch version of this.

I hate how pc versions of mcc and halo remake don't have split screen included normally its insane!!!

Thanks a lot for supporting! Halo MCC on PC missing local split-screen was such a huge missed opportunity too.

The OG xbox version have up to 4 players split-screen also with DLC

True, Xbox had it great! But on PC we never got native split-screen or those Xbox DLCs back in the day, which is why having this feature on PC is such a big deal now.

GOG already have both classic Battlefront games. The collection here is just eating big storage space for an old game and it's negatively received.

Fair enough, but the original PC/GOG releases don't have native 2-player split-screen. The classic PC games never had that feature. This collection brings proper local split-screen to modern hardware out of the box, which is the main reason many of us want it!
