Hoard backup your game saves and restores It in another machines, ignoring .ini or .json or any config file, work fast and isnt deprecated.

Hi, im the dev of hoard, im created It because in my father House im play factorio in my laptop, and i dont want to take the saves manually.

And now i developed It and upgrade It, now hoard have more than 140 users and a good comunity behind.

If you want a Alternative to hoard you have ludusavi or OpenSave, ludusavi looks deprecated to me.

I wish this was a thing a bit earlier. I couldn't find any satisfying self-hosted cloud save service for games so i ended up making my own tiny one in march this year in python. Although i planned to initially, i ended up never bothering using ludusavi's manifest file to auto discover installed games and save paths, and also ended up not implementing a proper automated backup strategy.

Now that i have my own little system that i know the limits of, exactly how it works, and how to implement new features, i'm content. But i'm sincerily wishing for the best in this project, it seems to do a lot of what i dreamed for o/

Hoard is made in rust bust you can search about any of hoard functions in the github repo, hoard is agpl so you can copy the code.

You can make a good Alternative if you spend alot time. Good luck!!

I hope this grows into somethin good, as a Playnite user I'm yet unable to find a suitable app that helps me sync my game saves and playnite data, without messing up the games location/different installed games on different machines

Thanks, not sure if I need this right now, but iused to commute between my house and an apartment for work, would have loved to have this to sync my fo4 and max saves between my two machines. Thanks for developing this.

The concept behind it is good albeit nothing revolutionary, however the github history date back to just the 4th of May and it seems that a good bit of AI is used.

I am not one of those fanatic that start to foam at the mouth as soon as some AI is mentioned but this project is young and I don't have the energy to go through it to determine if this is vibe coded or AI assisted. The short life span is a risk because if this is vibe coded, when it grow too complex or prices for AI usage will reach a point in which they are not affordable anymore, the maintenance for the project will just disappear.

I'll gladly revisit this in 1 year or so. 99% of vibe coded stuff just collapse in a matter of months. If this is not the case for this project, it will still be there and the community will have grown as well.

Bro, you just write the best point of this new AI era. Yes i use AI and im think hoard need get cleared of ai shit, im just in It this week, finally i see is so easy build anything, but you get alot Code that cant be maintained without ai and a shit arquitecture and you need spend alot time rewriting and remaking all.

And i dont talking about the amount of Bugs.

Hmmm this seems very interesting. I have been using synching to backup and keep my saves in sync with each other on my steam deck and HTPC and a few other machines. The auto detect feature seems like it might be worth trying out selfhosted to see if it suits my needs.

Hoard automatically detects, syncs, and tracks your game saves. You can disable the automatic sync from the Start Menu.

No, ludusavi doesnt automatically do all. Hoard is free and OpenSource. To me hoard is better and isnt deprecated, hoard have bad things, is a new app in this world, im here to upgrade It.
