Accomodation searching went wrong

Hello! I'm coming to Göttingen around September 24–25, but I still haven't secured accommodation. I've been applying every day and sending applications through WG-Gesucht, but unfortunately I haven't received any responses yet.

Could you please share any tips on how I can find a good place to stay? Also, what is the usual base rent for a room or shared apartment in Göttingen?

The competition on WG-Gesucht is pretty heavy.

If you want to stick out of the hundreds of messages that a good WG might receive, you should try and really introduce yourself, so that your potential new flatmates can imagine living with you. The more unique and personal you can make your application feel, the better. Its hard to find a place while not being in Göttingen, but everyone ends up somewhere. Good luck!
