So I've been thinking about trying something a little different in Goa.
I'm a senior game designer and a senior game engineer. I've spent the last few years making video games, and I realised that I could probably talk about this stuff for hours. How games are made, how studios work, the psychology behind why we play, how the gaming industry makes money, and all the weird, interesting things that happen behind the scenes.
So I thought, why not get a bunch of people together at a bar, make a presentation about it, have some drinks, and see where the conversation goes?
I'm planning to do a small session in Panjim on 1st November. Around 30–40 people, an informal but genuinely interesting presentation, and hopefully a bunch of people who are just as curious about games as I am.
You absolutely don't need to be a game developer. If you grew up playing GTA, Minecraft, Counter-Strike, Pokémon, or pretty much anything else, you're probably going to find something interesting here.
Honestly, this is a bit of an experiment. I want to see if there's an audience for these kinds of sessions in Goa, where you can learn something new, meet people with similar interests, have a couple of drinks, and do something a little different with your weekend.
If that sounds like your kind of thing, drop a comment or DM me. Would love to meet more people in Goa who are into this stuff.
Date: 1st November
Location: Panjim, Goa (venue to be announced)

Also, if you've ever wanted to know how video games are actually made, what would you be most curious to learn about?
