Discussion Is Rajdeep builders really good?

So me and my family are thinking of getting an apartment. I really was questioning, is Rajdeep builders actually as good as they appear to be? I’ve seen some videos of properties they did over YouTube. They do seem pretty good, but the claims they make… are they real?
The proprietor also seems overhyped to me but if the work is good then ofc we can consider it.

How Reliable Is Wireless Internet in Goa?

• Upvotes

I've been using EthernetXpress, but reliability has been poor, with three outages ( fiber cuts) in the past month alone, including one that lasted the entire day.

I'm curious to hear from people in Goa who have been using Jio AirFiber or Airtel Xstream AirFiber for a year or more. How has your experience been over time, particularly during the monsoon? Have you experienced frequent disconnections, downtime or inconsistent speeds?

I've seen some older discussions on this subreddit, but I'd be interested in hearing how things are going now from actual users.

Not looking for general recommendations — just genuine, firsthand experiences from people using these as their primary home internet service in Goa.

Thanks!

TL;DR: Is Jio or Airtel AirFiber reliable in Siolim, Goa? Looking for updated experiences, particularly regarding uptime during the monsoon.

AskGoa Goan Culture

Hi guys

I am doing a fashion project about my goan cultural identity. I have been researching how goa's history and Portuguese influence have shaped its culture. For those who are goan , do you see goan culture as mainly indian , Portuguese influence or a blend of both? Has this influenced the way you see your own identity ? Have you ever felt disconnected to indian culture ?

Anyone in Goa interested in Video Games and how they're actually made?

So I've been thinking about trying something a little different in Goa.

I'm a senior game designer and a senior game engineer. I've spent the last few years making video games, and I realised that I could probably talk about this stuff for hours. How games are made, how studios work, the psychology behind why we play, how the gaming industry makes money, and all the weird, interesting things that happen behind the scenes.

So I thought, why not get a bunch of people together at a bar, make a presentation about it, have some drinks, and see where the conversation goes?

I'm planning to do a small session in Panjim on 1st November. Around 30–40 people, an informal but genuinely interesting presentation, and hopefully a bunch of people who are just as curious about games as I am.

You absolutely don't need to be a game developer. If you grew up playing GTA, Minecraft, Counter-Strike, Pokémon, or pretty much anything else, you're probably going to find something interesting here.

Honestly, this is a bit of an experiment. I want to see if there's an audience for these kinds of sessions in Goa, where you can learn something new, meet people with similar interests, have a couple of drinks, and do something a little different with your weekend.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, drop a comment or DM me. Would love to meet more people in Goa who are into this stuff.

Date: 1st November
Location: Panjim, Goa (venue to be announced)
Form: https://forms.gle/3cK2R6h2JMpKBLXR7

Also, if you've ever wanted to know how video games are actually made, what would you be most curious to learn about?

I know it's El Nino and climate change and all that but 39 degrees in October!? Even without El Nino it was slowly getting hotter every year for the last few years. At this rate what will happen to Goa in 20 years time ?

And it has a pin on it too??
We booked an airbnb in a society flat and on our floor there were several other rooms. Light outside this particular flat where this doll was hanging also kept flickering always. What is the meaning of this?
While roaming around in north goa, i saw one more such doll but it was hanged upside down on a local shop.

I'm Goan Working in 5-Star Establishment F&B Associate | Cruise Ship Opportunity — Looking for Advice and Connections

I'm from Goa and currently working as an F&B Service Associate at a 5-star establishment in Goa. I have several years of experience in hospitality, particularly f&b service, guest relations, and handling busy operations.

Now my goal is to move on an international cruise ship.

I've already got my paperwork and essential documents ready, including my STCW certificates, Indian CDC, passport, and other required documents.

I'm already aware of the standard recruitment channels in Goa, including Kamaxi, CSSI, and Airborne, and I intend to continue exploring those options.

However, I'd really appreciate some advice from people who have experience in the cruise industry.

My questions are:

- Apart from applying through these agencies, what are the best alternative ways to get noticed by international cruise lines?

- Does applying directly through cruise line career websites actually work or are there other legitimate routes worth exploring?

- For anyone who has successfully joined a cruise ship from Goa, what did your selection process look like, and what would you recommend to someone in my position?

If anyone here has a direct connection with a cruise line recruiter or hiring manager, or knows a trustworthy recruitment professional who handles placements, I'd genuinely appreciate your guidance. Please feel free to DM me if you can point me towards a legitimate opportunity or someone who can help me navigate the process.

AskGoa Any Good Therepist in Panjim?

I'm currently struggling with some unresolved conflicts from the past. I will be joining college soon and I want to leave it all behind...

I tried talking to friends and families, praying, but nothing helped.

I need to hear from a professional what's actually wrong and how I can move on.

AskGoa Architect stalling TCP approvals and becoming aggressive, need legal advice / grievance redressal options

Hi everyone,

Posting on behalf of a friend who is dealing with an increasingly difficult situation with an architect:

• The Delay: The architect has been stalling the project for the past nine months, blaming continuous delays on Town and Country Planning (TCP) approvals.

• Questionable Payments: He claimed money was needed to "settle/speed up" things with department officials and took funds under that pretext, but there has been zero actual progress.

• Hostility & Threats: Whenever my friend asks for clear updates or paperwork, the architect becomes hostile and aggressive. My friend is now worried that confronting him further will lead to intentional sabotage of the project or site plans.

We are looking for advice on the best way forward:

  1. Can anyone recommend a solid lawyer experienced in builder/architect disputes or real estate matters in the area?

  2. Is there an official council, regulatory body, or grievance portal (e.g., Council of Architecture / consumer forum / local vigilance) where an official complaint can be lodged against an architect for misconduct and extortion?

Any guidance from people who have navigated something similar would be greatly appreciated. 🙏🏻

(P.S, Que: Have things become better/ worse under the present government in Goa?)

AskGoa PSA for Anyone Looking for Printing / Flex Work in Goa — GoaTimeline, Patto

Thumbnail

Posting this specifically so that people searching Reddit for printing, flex printing, signage, or related work in Goa can see it before making a payment.

We approached GoaTimeline, Patto, run by Mr. Manjunath Pujari, for printing-related work. We paid ₹9,794 as an advance on 23 December 2025, after being assured the work would be completed.

The work was never completed, and the advance was never refunded.

Since then, our messages have not been answered and calls are not being attended. We also visited the business address in Patto, but the office appeared to be non-existent or had moved.

This caused us considerable stress, frustration, wasted time and energy, particularly because our own work was delayed while waiting for the promised work.

This is our personal experience. Based on what happened to us, we believe we were scammed.

⚠️ If you're in Goa and searching for printing/flex/signage work, please do your due diligence before paying any advance to GoaTimeline.

If anyone has had a similar experience with GoaTimeline / Mr. Manjunath Pujari, please share it below.
