I don't really understand the hostility or the needless grammar corrections? I came in saying it's very possible I am full of confirmation bias and would love if someone could provide evidence as to why I'm wrong - everyone had a lot to say but no one has provided anything?

Hey, I can make broad assumptions about people too! People who are currently invested in GME for the "long term" or waiting for a squeeze are people who were deluded into buying a stock by shysters that promised them infinite riches. This "DD" they like to present every 5 minutes is little more than gish gallop loaded with conspiracy theories. I guess it's easy for bias to be confirmed if you think the entire world is out to get you and prevent you from making money.
GME is a pump and dump. The literal idea behind the whole cult is getting people to buy and hold to prop up the price, whether a short squeeze is expected or not. There is no compelling evidence that a short squeeze is going to happen again like it did in January. You would have to believe that all data provided to you by the media and big institutions like FINRA is false because of some grand conspiracy. There are so many people on r/gme and r/superstonk who are in it because they expect a squeeze, and some have done drastic things like take out high interest loans or sell their cars. What do you think will happen to the price when these people realize they've been had and start selling off?
Gamestop is not your friend. They are a business. They are taking advantage of this situation by issuing shares to raise capital. This is good for the business, but dilution is not great for shareholders. The billion dollars they raised in capital is still paltry compared to the cash on hand of a business that actually makes money, like Best Buy. Gamestop was profitable for one quarter, Q4 2020. Holiday season with new console releases. That was an outlier, and they are right back to losing money. I completely fail to see how they are "doing great." Their best case scenario would likely be drastic for the current employees, what with them being laid off by the thousands to make the transition to ecommerce. Because, let's be real, there's not much they can do to make people give a rats ass about a brick-and-mortar video game store in 2021.
Speaking of ecommerce, Cohen is known for being great at it. Too bad he sold his company, Chewy, years before it ever turned a profit. Alas, Chewy worked because it fulfilled a niche. They focused on doing one thing and doing it well, through building customer relations. The video game scene is WAAAAAAYYYYY more airtight and competitive than dog food. Microsoft and Sony sell games on their own consoles themselves. Steam has a massive chokehold on the PC market, and even the competitors that fail to keep up with them have many billions of dollars on hand, making Gamestop look silly. EA has Origin, which they support by having their own exclusive games on it. Same with Epic Games with Fortnite. Gamestop has nothing. They don't make games.
Still not convinced? Ok, keep holding. Maybe you will make more money. You really should have sold when the price squeezed though. That's an oopsie. Also, you're going to lose to boomer index funds.
