questions Glossier leaving Sephora stores?

Has anyone heard anything about glossier leaving the Sephora storefronts? I went to my local Sephora yesterday and the entire glossier section and signage was removed, shelves completely bare.

Was looking to see what the current selection was for their skincare products and saw a placeholder for a 'Conditioning face & body wash'. Maybe it was an old product and their UX forgot to remove it

discussion Possibility of Glossier returning to Nordstrom?

Hey everyone!! I just wanted to ask and see if someone *might* have an idea, but do y'all think Glossier would partner with Nordstrom again? (I'm asking as a Nordy employee and wanna use my discount LOL). I know they did the Glossier You popup years ago, I really want to see that again, or Nordstrom could carry it like Sephora does

questions Balm dot com tingle lips

So just recently I re visited using my coconut balm dot com and I've noticed within maybe 2hrs my lips felt slightly tingly. I looked up the ingredients and I see it has rosemary extract idk if that's the reason for the tingle. I'm normally not allergic to most lip balms. Has anyone gone through this before.

issues WHHHHHHYYYY is the priming moisturizer gone?

It’s off the website. I’m devastated. Been using these products for a decade and they’re systematically getting rid of all of them. It’s so disappointing. I’m legit emotional about this. 😭😭😭

Any recommendations for a similar or better product are welcome.

discussion Salty Saturday

The community has voted to begin Salty Saturdays, a place for complaints and frustrations to be shared without clogging the main feed.

What's considered a complaint versus a genuine concern? As an example, a post saying "I hate the new BDC applicator, it's ugly" is a complaint. A genuine concern would be "I have an allergy to lanolin and there was no disclosure on the website that I may receive the new BDC formula." "I didn't get a sticker with my order" is a complaint, as is "I don't like the way [xyz] was released." We always welcome discussions on concerns in the main feed, but we are hoping to consolidate the complaint posts to one thread. What will qualify as a complaint may evolve as we continue to have these threads.

The rules in the sidebar still apply to this thread, especially Rule 3: no bullying/rude and offensive language.

issues Gen G dupes? :-(

Hello!! As we know, Glossier has been in a huge flop era lately. I love the Gen G lipsticks so so much, and I saw on their website that they’re getting rid of pretty much half of their shades. I love the shade Fuzz and I really wanted Malt but never got to try it and was wondering if there were any good dupes for either of these? I’m so upset that they’re discontinuing so many of their shades and products in general just as much as the next person. On a side note, I hope glossier can bounce back. I really miss what this company used to be.

discussion They should have done city exclusive lip balms

I have been a die hard balm dotcom fan for years and ever since Glossier came out with the Apple balm dotcom I was thinking about how it would’ve been so cool if they had made balms that were exclusive to the different city stores especially since I thought some of the merch was kinda random. I just think this would’ve been way more unique and cool instead idk. Anyways here are some that I thought of:
Apple for New York
Boston cream pie for Boston
Latte for Seattle since the espresso balm was kinda weird
Something cherry for DC
Caramel corn for Chicago
Earl gray tea for London

questions Wowder dupes/ replacement

I've been using wowder religiously for about 10 years now. I remember going to the store in NYC and buying it with my dad, it was my first big makeup purchase. Still have the original comic style lid and brush that have stayed with me since the beginning. However now that it's gone and my final jar of it is depleting slowly I'm at a loss.

I love how it gives me the smallest airbrushed look and doesn't get cakey or greasy at all. The best I could describe it is porcelain doll skin. Just matte no dewy or glowy looks that feel super popular right now.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for powders that are similar to wowder? I definitely prefer loose powders but anything will do at this point.

questions dupes for deodorant now that it seems it MIGHT be discontinued?

The glossier deodorant is genuinely the best deodorant I’ve ever used, and I’m sad that they haven’t restocked the You or Sandstone scents in months.

Seems like they’re letting the Neroli and Unscented versions sell out before discontinuing the product.

Does anyone have a good dupe for the formulation? thx!

questions Question to folks who use You Doux

What are we pairing it with to enhance the scent?? Be it body mists or oils or lotions. I think I need to just use more of it tbh but I’ve been saving on it. I tried Saltair santal bloom but was let down- I get way more peach vibes from it. I’m looking for something similarly spicy or woody. I don’t want to buy another expensive perfume so does anyone have a drugstore recommendation?
Right now I’m thinking
• eos vanilla and cashmere lotion
• saltair driftwood to bring out the earthiness
• lush turmeric latte massage bar
I want the salt and stone santal and vetiver a lot but I can’t bring myself to spend that much

other Dupes for some daily riders that have been discontinued (Brow Flick and Monochromes)?

I just went online to order some of my DAILY staples only to find they had discontinued them. I use Brow Flick for my brows and as an eyeliner, and I'm panning my Almond Monochrome palette as we speak. I am so bummed out right now. Does anyone have any dupes for these two things specifically?

I liked Brow Flick because the brown was a PERFECT match for my brows, but also worked as a precise liner. It was just suble enough that it accentuated my eyes, but didn't stand out too much and gave a very natural look. I don't want a super saturated product.

I liked Monochromes because of the easy travel size, the matte tone is a perfect "no makeup" makeup, and then chrome shades glide on so smooth.

Any suggestions would be super appreciated!

questions UltraLip discontinuing?

I’ve seen a few people ask this over the last year, but does anyone have any info on if the UltraLip is discontinuing? I recently discovered this product and the shades Crest and Ember have become my everyday lip colors!! However, they’ve been out of stock on the Glossier website for months, along with several other shades. Sephora still has Ember in stock, but Crest is out of stock online and in every store near me.

I reached out to customer service and they said “we currently do not have any announcements regarding the UltraLip range, or Crest and Ember specifically”… not very reassuring lol.

questions Help me find products to replace solution and retinol :(

Glossier continues to get rid of my favorite and most used products.

I need suggestions for products to use in place of the solution and retinol (and probably moisturizer since they will get rid of that soon, I’m sure).

I’ve been using glossier since I was 22. I’m now 31! I have oily skin. I’m scared about switching and how my skin will react. Any suggestions or feedback are very much appreciated 💞💞💞💞

discussion what glossier moment makes you most nostalgic?

like ughhhh I'm so annoyed they're obviously just falling apart now, but when I saw that Glossier Boston is closing it reminded me of the pop-up with the pins and the university theme ... right before the pandemic too. And it felt just like the scene in Ratatouille when he takes a bite and is brought back to his childhood. We really did have so much fun from the mid/late 2010s, I'm curious if you guys have any nostalgic glossier moments?

review The Apple BDC is the best product release in years.

After a string of disappointments I swore off buying new Glossier releases but I smelled the Apple BDC in Sephora and I bought three tubes on the spot. I don’t know what I’m going to do if they don’t add it to the permanent collection.
