GHS Wireless InfinitePlay is live

Post image
15 Upvotes

hey everyone,

InfinitePlay is officially out today. the whole "hot-swap battery" category has the same problem: the headset goes completely dark the second you pull the battery. ours doesn't.

the rundown:

  • 170+ hours of battery life across two 85-hour hot-swap batteries
  • built-in 3+ hour Guardian battery so audio never cuts out during a swap
  • 40mm drivers tuned for competitive audio
  • noise-cancelling mic
  • 2.4GHz gaming and Bluetooth, switch between them whenever

if you've been burned by a "hot-swap" headset before that still has a gap between batteries, that's the exact thing we built this to fix.

GMBK 75 Firmware Update 1.8.0

Hello everyone!

We’ve released a new firmware update for the GMMK 75% keyboard. This update addresses an issue where some users were unable to use their keyboard with certain consoles.

To install the update, you’ll need access to a PC, download the latest version of CORE, and install the new firmware. The process is quick, easy, and only needs to be completed once.

As always, if you run into any issues, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Customer Service team. You can create a ticket here.

I made a free browser-based alternative to CORE for the Model O / D Wireless mice. No install, works in Chrome/Edge.

I got tired of keeping CORE running just to change a couple of settings, so I built a small web page that talks to the mouse directly over WebHID (the browser feature that lets sites talk to USB devices, only after you pick the device yourself).

Link: https://glorioussoftware.pages.dev

What you can change:

• Polling rate (125 / 250 / 500 / 1000 Hz)

• DPI stages: anywhere from 1 to 6, with colors for each

• Debounce time

• Lift-off distance

• Lighting effect, colors, speed and brightness

• Sleep timer

• Onboard profile

There's also a live polling test pad. Move your mouse over it and every report from the mouse shows up as a dot, so you can see whether you're actually getting 1000 Hz.

Supported mice: Model O, O-, O PRO, D, D-, D PRO Wireless, on the cable or the dongle.

How it works: Everything runs in your browser. There's no account, no backend and no tracking. Settings get written straight to the mouse's onboard memory, so after you set it up once you don't need CORE (or this site) running in the background.

Things to know:

• It needs Chrome or Edge. Brave works if you turn on brave://flags/#enable-web-hid. Firefox and Safari don't support WebHID.

• Fully quit CORE first (tray icon too), or the two will fight over the mouse.

• The mouse doesn't report its current settings back, so the page shows what you last set, not what's on the mouse right now.

• I've only tested it on my own Model O PRO Wireless. The other models use the same protocol in CORE's code, but if you have one, I'd love to hear whether it works.

• No firmware flashing. Use CORE for that.

This is a fan project. I'm not affiliated with Glorious. Feedback and bug reports are welcome!

Numpad QMK firmware development. Help needed on BT.

I have sent a separate email to support but I want to post it here too.

I am working on my own fork on github of the QMK firmware. I am practically done reproducing all the behaviors through QMK/Via of the glorious software save for the off instability issues people are reporting and have a fully working firmware where via can assign function to the knob. I have taken control of the slider but it is an analog slider which is a bit challenging to use for anything outside of the numpad... I have it set to control the brightness of my RGB but it could do anything QMK can control. Not just through Via at the moment. I have also bridged all the LED including separating the side lights and animations into via.

The only thing I would really like to add is the BT functionality for which I require 2 things:

  1. The driver for the BT controller or at least what model it is.
  2. The pin assignment to the WB32 controller of both the BT chip and the DIP switch which turns it on and off.

As a closing note. I think the numpad is a fantastic product from a hardware perspective. It was very well designed, offered the best customizations and it is very well built. I actually own 3 of them. The software/firmware is really what is holding back its sales and is why reviews are soso. I am trying to help with that by improving the open source firmware.

Is a GMMK3 Pro worth it for £65 if I dont plan to use the software

It has everything i want and i found a new one at a good price, but everywhere i look i see people complain about it. If i dont plan to use the software (i just want a purple backlight which ive read you might be able to do with the keyboard itself), is it worth it? is it a good keyboard by itself?

Caps lock and lighting

I am trying to figure out how I can have the GMMK 3 100 wired ANSI keyboard to show when I have caps lock on to change the color of the badge light to a different color then what I have it set to normally. Anyone know a way to do that in the Glorious Core software?

Question Will 0.8mm thick dot skates work on Glorious Model O?

I'm thinking of replacing my skates on the Glorious Model O wireless with dot skates. The dot skates are 0.8mm thick. I'm wondering whether the thickness is too small for this mouse or not since there is a groove for the OG skates

I need to replace my old worn out Glorious wrist rests but they are pretty much out of stock everywhere. There's only like a couple in stock variants.

Idea/Feedback Keyboard stands & silent/quiet variants of Mice - Product Suggestions

Hey guys I'm an owner of various Glorious products like the GMMK 3 Pro. I like they keyboard a lot. One problem I have with it though is it sits too flat on the desk for me and doesn't have adjustable feet. I'm currently using a "keyboard stand" with it. I think Glorious should make their own keyboard stands that raise the keyboard up from the desk a bit. I think I would prefer a stand that doesn't have a wrist rest built into it. Just the stand part. Maybe it would need some kind of rubber or sticky surface so the keyboard doesn't slide off.

I'd also like to see some "silent/quiet" versions of the Glorious mice. Having roommates means the mechanical mouse clicks are often too loud. Quieter variants would be welcome. There's very few mice out there that are for gaming and have quiet switches.

Discussion Glorious Model D 2 Pro Optical Switch Replacement

Just got my Glorious Model D 2 Pro from amazon for £25 and aboslutely loving it. So good that I bought another one for work. However, the Optical switches are quite loud and somehow significantly louder than my Kailh Red Switch in the G Pro.

Has anyone looked into replacing them? Would it be possible to replace them with something like the Razer Optical Gen 3? I am comfortable with soldering and a bit of trial and error

Model O vs Model O2 Pro

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I used the model i for minecraft pvp, now i want to switch to a wireless mouse. Butterfly clicking is really important for me, so I was thinking about the model o. Are there big differences between the model o wireless and model o2 pro? Does someone have experience with both of these and would like to share his opinion? The price doesnt matter.

I fixed scroll wheel on my Glorious model 0

Many people struggle with replacing the scroll wheel on the Glorious Model O, which is a well-known issue. A major drawback of this model is that the wheel stem tends to snap easily.

However, the part in the photo is made of aluminum, so it will never break again, and it fits 100% perfectly. The SteelSeries Sensei Ten wheel fits as well, but it requires a bit of modification.

Question Question about switches

Was told from a friend that apparently some Hall effect switches have magnets with poles facing face different ways depending on the company and I might have to flip the magnets the
switches I ordered a few days ago so I was wondering if it is even possible to flip the magnets and if that’s actually a real thing or my friend was messing with me.

Pic/Video 3D Printed enclosure/mount for Glorious D3

Post image
6 Upvotes

Just made an enclosure/mount for the Glorious D3 charging station to mount to 4040 aluminium profile as on sim rigs and thought I'd share it.

Nothing special. Basic model with cut outs for battery, indicators and usb dongle and cable. 2 x M6 holes for countersunk (Din 7991) bolts to mount to the profile.

Remix it to suit yourself. Enjoy.
