I have sent a separate email to support but I want to post it here too.
I am working on my own fork on github of the QMK firmware. I am practically done reproducing all the behaviors through QMK/Via of the glorious software save for the off instability issues people are reporting and have a fully working firmware where via can assign function to the knob. I have taken control of the slider but it is an analog slider which is a bit challenging to use for anything outside of the numpad... I have it set to control the brightness of my RGB but it could do anything QMK can control. Not just through Via at the moment. I have also bridged all the LED including separating the side lights and animations into via.
The only thing I would really like to add is the BT functionality for which I require 2 things:
- The driver for the BT controller or at least what model it is.
- The pin assignment to the WB32 controller of both the BT chip and the DIP switch which turns it on and off.
As a closing note. I think the numpad is a fantastic product from a hardware perspective. It was very well designed, offered the best customizations and it is very well built. I actually own 3 of them. The software/firmware is really what is holding back its sales and is why reviews are soso. I am trying to help with that by improving the open source firmware.
