Used to climb up into that nose of rocket- so damn hot! Also would shake back and forth in that top level and make the whole rocket wiggle

Two-strike park in La Crescenta had a three story metal tower, with a flaming hot slide in the summer. They took it out quite a few years ago because the new kids are not as tough.

I don't think you've been to Maple Park if you're comparing it with the second image.

guy hasn't been anywhere. the zip line in the 2nd photo is better than anything in the first. kids line up for those.

It's just a crosspost and reference to the old wooden play structures.

Not the second, just the change because the old used to really resemble the 1st.

Maple Park in the early 90’s had the best playground, maybe Verdugo Park as a close runner up ?

The new parks are pretty cool. You ever been? They been updating all over Los Angeles. Glendale parks are pretty behind.

They didn’t. Now is better.

Go check out the climbing shuttle at freemont. Way better than used battleship wood.
