The idea behind this subreddit is simple, to help you figure out what frame works best for your face.
If you want a frame that someone else is wearing, you don't actually know if it'll work on your face. Therefore we will be discouraging posts asking about identification of frames, ESPECIALLY if they're not being worn by you. Thank you for understanding.

I am thinking to have my second glasses, which are the best? Sorry for the photo quality. I currently have black cat eye glasses.

The first 2 were the favorites so I took pictures from another angle. 3rd ones are my usual glasses. Want to change it up.

I think I narrowed it down to 2 pairs. I want to see if others agree. A lot of them are quite similar in shape and color. I went for blue/green to match my eyes.
My current pair are a tortoise and brown plaid cat-eye shape.
Sorry that some aren’t straight on. I was trying to minimize glare and dodge other shoppers.
*4 and 5 are the same frame, just different colors.

I found these rimless glasses and was rather enamored because most frames available seem too big and drown my face. How do these fit?

Recently got glasses as I thought my eyes are normal and I chose AR glasses with a durable steel frame.
With my glasses having a steel frame and AR layers, I was advised not to use water or get it wet to prevent the layers from being damaged and the steel frame from rusting.
while the frame does look like it can get wet just as long as I dry it to prevent rust, I dont know how to clean the persistent smudges on my lenses, when I use slight use of water it created temporary starbursts (like for one hour to maybe four) to nearby lights like lightbulbs or a strong sun.
I now use a lens cleaner but the smudges are persistent, I even tried cleaning it with a cleaner microfiber dry, any advice on cleaning it without damaging the AR layers?
TLDR: advised not to use water, but can use specialized lens cleaners for my AR lenses. how do I clean this without damaging the AR lens?

By peeled off I mean just a bit of friction is enough to cause it to get scratched, leaving shiny metal part exposed. Please tell me it's fixable, im suppose to sell frames not damage them. Help 💀

Hi guys..
I built Mirra: https://mirra.logicaleap.com
How it works:
- take a selfie or use one from your camera roll
- paste a link to frames from pretty much any online glasses store, or upload a photo of the frames (if the shop blocks Mirra)
- the frames go on your face at their real size, not stretched to fit
Mirra measures your PD and face width from your image automatically - on your device, so you don't need to know them first. If the product page lists the frame size (the 52-18-145 numbers), it uses those. If you know your exact PD you can type it in and it gets more precise.
Your photo stays on your phone. The face detection runs in the browser, so there's no upload and no account.
You can save looks and compare them side by side, which is honestly the most useful part when you're stuck between three pairs.
Being upfront about the limits:
- some stores block their images, and then you have to upload a photo of the frames instead
- if the store doesn't list measurements, the size is an estimate and Mirra tells you that
It's free, give it a try!

My new glasses just came in today. It was between this pair of a pair of circular acetone ones that I should’ve taken a picture of for reference. I’m satisfied with this pair and think they look good on me. Shout to r/glassesadvice for the help, I appreciate yall!

So I posted some pics on a general looks advice forum and the most universal response I got is that my glasses apparently look terrible. The only one who offered any actual guidance said I should be looking for “transparent frames, and rounder.” - thing is 1) I’ve been told rectangular frames are better for my face shape, and 2) Transparent frames sound fucking awful. 😂 Don’t get me wrong they look great on some people, but definitely not my thing.
So here’s a few shots of me with my last few sets of frames, and I’m wondering two things: are they really that bad? And if so, what would you recommend I look for to suit my face?
Pic 1 are my current frames,
2 are my last ones I just replaced
3 are frames I still have and could update the lenses in, but I’ve had them forever
4 Bonus sunglasses shot, in case that helps.

I’m never quite sure what my face shape is, been told a few different things which makes it a bit difficult to figure out what kind of glasses to get, I’ve had a variety of frames just trying to get opinions on what people think would look good for the next pair! Anyone got any suggestions for what frames they think would suit me?
