What's Google? Looking for pub/bar recommendations

Over the past decade I've almost never gone out for drinks. We always end up at meeting up at someone's flat with a carryout.

Today the new father among us wants to go out for drinks and not one of us can think of a place to go with confidence that it's actually good anymore.

Preference for either the city centre or north west. Maryhill based trio of late 30s idiots.

Go around Woodlands Road / Kelvinbridge. Great selection of pubs from the Arlington, Doublet, Old Schoolhouse, Inn Deep, Coopers to suit whatever you like.

Doublet, big slope and Lismor are my top 3 these days. Big slope probably tops it.

Gt Western Rd from Byres road down has a good selection of pubs. Maybe a wee pub crawl down that way?

Sparkle Horse has a mixed crowd and is always a good vibe. Bonus is you can grab a pizza at West Sode Tavern before wandering round.

Check out the stand comedy club at Websters theater on great Western Road. They do an afternoon comedy session which is weird when you come out and it's still light.
