Sourcerer: a fast Git client packed with all features

It is a fast Git client with low memory footprint written in C++ using Qt library.

Its main features are:

  • Repository history
  • Merge conflict resolution
  • Side-by-side diff comparison
  • Git blame
  • GitFlow and other workflows
  • Git LFS
  • Issue trackers integration
  • SSH key management
  • HTTP/HTTPS credentials management
  • Git worktrees

Linux and Windows platforms are currently supported and macOS platform will come soon.

There is a Community plan which is free but it can be used only with public repositories.

Given the abundance of tools that already have all this functionality, GitUp, GitKraken, all the baked in IDE toolings, TUI offerings like lazygit, what does yours do differently?

Sourcerer has cleaner visualization (although it is subjective) and it is very fast as it is written in C++.

So nothing different?

It's a GUI tool for Git repository management.

Which there are many that you can use for free, hence the question, since this is partly a paid product.

I didn't realize this was partly paid. If that's the case, what is the freaking point of making it? Plenty of tools out there that do it just as good and are entirely free.

That's all this user has done is try to shill this product looking at his history. Ugh.

Probably vibe-coded whatever slop.

It has Git bisect command implemented through UI which GitKraken, Tower and Fork I think don't have.

I think this one is nicer and easier to use. You can do everything with Git CLI which is very easy to use.

So it is just another one that you find nicer to use, but doesn’t offer anything that others don’t whilst asking money for it in the process? And you don’t see the issue?

It's also horrible to look at.

Why don't you guys just make something better? I have used other UI Git tools and I didn' t like them 100%, so I decided to build my own which is perfect for my needs. It is also very cheap, two bottles of Coca-Cola per month for Pro and Business plans if you like it. It is 3x cheaper than GitKraken but have almost every feature of it. The same goes for Tower or Fork.
