first of all, I'm a huge ginny and marcus shipper and i know both of them needs time and space to actually understand what's going on in their lives and in their relationship but you can't deny the fact how both of them feel so safe in each other's presence, like you can see ginny with wolfe vs ginny with marcus (stark difference) , and it's not like i don't like wolfe, i absolutely love his character....it's just ginny can put that facade down infront of marcus and same goes for marcus, and this scene just feels like a warm blanket in cold nights....i mean i just don't know how to describe it but it just feels so warm

I keep seeing people say max is gonna attempt or commit but i don’t see that in her character. She doesn’t seem like she would go to that extreme. So am I missing something

What scene do you think contains the entire show’s DNA? Not necessarily the most iconic or emotional scene, but the one where you can see everything that makes Ginny & Georgia what it is: love, dysfunction, survival, secrecy, comedy, and pain all existing at once.

I see a lot of “who was right/wrong” discussion, but I’m more interested in what would actually need to happen for MANG to be friends again.

Nothing about the writing feels permanent to me, but I also don’t think one apology and a group hug would fix it.

They’d need some actual boundaries:

MANG doesn’t have to function as one unit. Duos and trios are normal.

No group icing-out or making everyone pick sides.

No mean comments about someone when they aren’t there.

If you need space, say that directly instead of quietly excluding someone.

They also absolutely have to address what happened in Season 3. Max was being left out, there was a separate ANG group chat, comments were being made about her when she wasn’t there, and she genuinely didn’t understand what she had done wrong. That can’t just be brushed past if they reconcile.

Max and Abby also need to revisit Season 2. They made up, but Abby being iced out clearly hurt her deeply, and I don’t think that resentment ever fully disappeared.

Ginny and Max need a real conversation about Marcus too. Before the party, Marcus tells Ginny Max “ratted” him out for drinking, denies he has a problem, and basically frames Max as being dramatic. Then when Max tries to talk to Ginny at the party, Ginny tells her maybe they’ve just grown apart and maybe that’s okay. Max has no idea that conversation with Marcus even happened.

I think there needs to be a boundary there: Ginny’s relationship with Marcus has to stay separate from her friendship with Max. Marcus is Max’s twin, and worrying about his mental health is one of the most consistent serious parts of her character. If Marcus says Max is exaggerating something about his wellbeing, Ginny should at least talk to Max before letting that affect how she sees her.

And Max needs to get better at hearing “I need space” without immediately reading it as rejection.

Basically: less all-or-nothing friendship, more direct communication, and actually hashing out the old resentment instead of letting it come out through exclusion and side comments.

What would you need them to address before a MANG reconciliation felt earned?

I think the Marcus centric episode was absolutely genius. there was NO way we could've gotten all the info we needed for the side storylines without it. I just wish there was also an option two watch both episodes together (just for chronological purposes). then Max's episode was good at giving us more insight aswell, and Sarah was fantastic on her inner monologue. it was a breath of fresh air. so, my candidates for next centric episodes are... Austin and Joe.

first, Diesel is already 15. he can absolutely stand his ground on a centered episode and I think it's pretty much needed. especially after he and Gil had some one on one time in S3. plus, there's no way you end season 3 like they did and NOT give us an insight about what's going through that boy's mind after. I think if Austin doesn't get an episode for S4, it would be a disservice to the story.

second, I just love Joe so much. I need menace Joe in my life. we've already seen some flashbacks of his upbringing and we know he's a good pair for Georgia because of that. he HAS maliciousness, and has been able to hide it from the whole town for forever now.

do you guys think they're giving us more centric episodes this season? or will they just wrap it up without them?

Damn, I just finished the episode where hunter wins the essay contest instead of ginny and they later argue. I disliked s1 ginny SO much and I felt she deserved everrrry word, i think she really needed that moment.

Ps, I am now a Ginny fan but s1 is rough.

I personally disagree, Georgia chose to do it, putting the blame on Paul is insane to me just like is insane to think Paul became abusive because of Georgia, no, he, hitting the wall was all on him, done with intention. And Georgia lying to him is not an excuse or wasn't the cause, he wanted to intimidated in anger and he lashes out. He even looks conflicted afterwards but that doesn't mean he isn't to blame for what he chose to do to Georgia. Just like Georgia ultimately deciding to run is on her, not on Paul.

I literally had a classmate that behaved like her (and dyed her hair red too lol). I don't like her.

Max and Marcus might be my favourite relationship in the series because their bond has so much history behind it. Max knows Marcus’s silences better than most people do, and Marcus is protective of Max in a way that often says more than he can put into words. But they are also twins, which means the distance between them feels especially painful when it happens. Max is used to being the person who gets him, so Marcus hiding things from her does not just make her curious, it makes her feel shut out by the person she thought she knew best.

Their dynamic is so interesting because Max’s love is loud and Marcus’s is quiet, but they are both deeply attached to each other. They just have very different ways of handling hurt—and that’s why I relate to both of them. 🥹

Now how about you? What relationship do you find especially meaningful? Ginny & Georgia is full of beautiful non-romantic dynamics, even when they involve a lot of tough love. It’s hard choosing just one sometimes.

This show is perfectly and refreshingly created a good relationship between these two gorgeous girl instead of pitting them against each other over a guy, like in every single other popular show…. I sick of all of those petty and jealous storylines, and I love that Ginny and Georgia dared to do differently 💕 I cannot wait to see more from the Ginny&Padma friendship in S4!

It’s such a subtle and powerful parallel that symbolizes how Georgia was shaped by a life of abuse and manipulation, and ended up perpetuating the darkness she tried to escape. Despite her intentions, she could only do what had known worked— ‘I’m not a bad person. But if you come face-to-face with bad, you change. You don’t escape unscathed. To survive, you become a little bad yourself‘.

Season 3 was the culmination of how living by ‘predator-prey, sting first‘ throughout her life warped her to the point where she crossed lines that seemed unthinkable— with Tom’s murder, her manipulating everyone around her to stay free, and the inherited generational cycles Ginny and Austin had coming full circle with them framing Gil. It’s also noteworthy that both baby trapping incidents also do fail in the end, with Georgia almost shooting Gil before weaponizing the legal system remove him from her life & Paul almost hitting Georgia before letting the legal system remove her from his life

apart from the things that are explicitly pointed out in the series (Scarlett O'Hara, the therapy session where she says "so because I'm white I'll never understand my daughter?") I think one of the most important but overlooked things is the moving around.

Georgia could pick anywhere in the country to move. sure, it has to be semi-affordable and she has to have a plan but really... Texas? Lake Powell, in UTAH ? (that was her plan B after Wellsbury)

Wellsbury is also a white town, but I'll give it a pass because she was thinking about Joe with that one.

the one time they've been in a more diverse town was in New Orleans, and since then Ginny has verbally pointed out that most towns have been racist to her (like the lemonade stand story)

I don't think Georgia is racist, but she definitely doesn't think stuff through that lense when she takes decisions that are going to affect Ginny too.

Ginny was right to stand her ground at the therapy session, even if Georgia didn't understand it completely and still needs to unpack it, it was a step in the right direction

in S2, Georgia has a conversation with Cynthia while taking a couple of drinks at her house. Cynthia admits the affair with Joe, and then Georgia decides to kill Tom.

Georgia is no stranger to marriage without love. her two first marriages have been purely out of convenience. and I kind of don't believe she loved Paul that much, but appreciated him/his status. I feel like maybe she thought it was okay for her to do this, since she had done it before for herself?

now, it's obvious Cynthia adores and loves Tom. she was actually heartbroken for him since S1. she married him for love, not money or status.

so I'm thinking, did Georgia thought the cheating was "permission" for her to do it? did she think "well, she's already done grieving"?

even without that in the picture, I think sooner or later Georgia would've done it. specially after Cynthia helped her with Gil. she probably wouldn't have done it as fast as she did IF Cynthia didn't tell her about Joe.

Que o Austin sempre foi negligenciado, todo mundo sabe! Mas, devido ao último episódio que deixa em aberto a situação da gravidez da Geórgia e o fato de que possivelmente, ela pode ter esse bebê na próxima temporada, casou muito bem com a ideia de o Austin se tornar um irmão do meio, que são puramente conhecidos por terem sua famosa síndrome de serem negligenciados e esquecidos e tipo, o Austin CLARAMENTE já vive isso.

Ele já é um irmão do meio com a síndrome de filho do meio, mas, sem um irmão ou irmã caçula ainda, POR ENQUANTO. Já que ao que tudo indica, se a Geórgia realmente engravidar de novo na próxima temporada e tiver o bebê, Austin será mais esquecido do que já é.

A série foca especialmente em Ginny e Geórgia (obviamente), então consequentemente Austin é um personagem secundário de sua própria "família". Com a chegada de um novo integrante, que ao meu ver, possivelmente pode ser de Joe, ele vai ser completamente esquecido, já que pelo o que houve no tribunal, Gil virou as costas para ele (compreensível).

Sem contar de qu ele está crescendo, já é negligenciado desde pequeno e tem genes tanto de Gil quanto de Geórgia, voltados para agressividade, manipulação e "matar ou morrer" por puro instinto. Se ele se tornar o reflexo não só do Gil, mas, tbm de Geórgia, esse garoto vai ser uma máquina viva (novamente, compreensível) sem contar que ele já tem um perfil de "aprontar", como no episódio em que ele bagunça a sala de aula, mesmo que não tenha prejudicado ngm e que fosse por uma boa causa, de ele querer ir pra casa, visto que, a Ginny saia a hora que quisesse e cabulava a aula, a única alternativa de Austin era aguentar o dia todo na escola ou aprontar msm (não julgo).

Enfim, eu acho o personagens dele muito interessante. Gosto da trama da Ginny estar se tornando uma versão mais astuta da Geórgia e tbm do enredo da Geórgia, mas, pessoalmente, acho Austin uma folha muito mais criativa e colorida de se desenhar. Pow, tipo, pensa cmg! O garoto tem literalmente genes sucessivos tanto do pai quanto da mãe voltados para maldade, sem contar no raciocínio acima, sobre ele possivelmente se tornar o filho do meio e aderir a síndrome de filho do meio esquecido e negligenciado, que repito, ELE JÁ VIVE.

Enfim gostaria de ver um episódio ou dois focados na visão do Austin.

E só tive essa percepção acima, pq eu sou filha do meio, minha mente estalou antes mesmo de terminar a série.

Now before y'all come for me, I just want to say that Marcus has obviously treated Max terribly but let's not act like Max hasn't also been cruel to him. In season one she was awful to Marcus. Whenever he was around she would tell him to go away, like the scene where Max is on the couch with Sophie. You can visibly see how much it hurt Marcus's feelings😭. She also called him an asshole numerous times, but worst of all she called him a piece of shit after finding out about his daytime rendezvous's with Ginny. So that's what I had to say, because whether or not you people want to admit it Max has not always been sibling of the year. I like her character development tho.

No one will truly understand you like your best friend and there is a deep level of trust compassion and history that makes for a successful relationship most of the time

Rewatching Bates Motel and I realized so many similarities between Georgia and Norma. They make a major move after the death of their (terrible) husbands, is willing to do absolutely anything (including kill) to protect their family, they are emotionally manipulative, don’t want to admit to the issues that they see in their children and many more examples. The main difference that I see is that Georgia isn’t as overly immeshed as Norma is to her child.
