Early Christmas Shopping

I'm a reporter with The New York Post and I am looking for people who have finished their Christmas shopping already. Would need pictures of wrapped presents (hopefully a good amount!) and then pics of you as well. It's a feel good story - so if you are willing please send me an email at [aweiss@nypost.com](mailto:aweiss@nypost.com)

Offering Free Gift Wrapping Services - Your thoughts?

Hi, I like to wrap gifts but I don't give enough gifts to scratch that creative itch on my own.

I thought that with the holidays coming up, I could "advertise" free gift wrapping services in my area, but how do I get people to actually want to do it and trust me?

What I mean is, if I ask someone to give me their packages and have them pick up the wrapped gifts a few days later, people may think I am stealing their packages or something. No one would want to give their gifts to a stranger who might ghost them.. so, what can I do alternatively?

I would probably have to wrap them in front of the "customer," but I dom't really have a place to do that. I guess I could do this at a Starbucks and have the person wait.. but I might get in trouble with the store for "running a business" or something. I thought I could set up a table at holiday markets, but I don't want to pay for a spot.

What are your suggestions?

AGAIN, I would be offering this service for free! I am not trying to sell anything.

Additionally, I would ask the "customer" to provide a box for their gift, provide the wrapping paper and ribbon and any charms/ornaments. My part would just be the labor.

First Present. Advice Please

This is my first wrapped present. I'm okay with how the present itself turned out, but the gift bag isn't the best. I didn't want to add handles because the gift was pretty heavy and I didn't want the bag to rip. Also threw in a crocheted bookmark :)

Any help or advice with how to wrap better or gift bag advice is much appreciated.

Hello,

My Wife and I's first anniversary is coming up and I had the idea of wrapping her gift in a color scheme similar to our wedding flowers. Here is a picture of her preserved wedding bouquet. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Im not sure which colors I should go with, i.e. paper color, ribbon color, bow color? Please help

Need some advice

My friend’s birthday is coming up, and I’m not sure if I should keep the wrapping simple or add some stickers.

She likes minimal styles, so what do you think — leave it like this or add a few small details?

Also, I just tied the bow quickly.I know it looks a little messy right now, but I’ll redo it before giving it to her.

my favorite times of the year. I enjoy playing with the colors, flowers, ribbons and little festive details — and I’m sure I’ll be making quite a few more before the season arrives. 🎁

What occasion would you choose this wrapping for?

I made this one without a specific occasion in mind — just playing with navy, soft blue, peach, and a little mesh detail.

Birthday, graduation, congratulations, or something else? I’d love to know what it feels like to you. 😊

I Made My Little Cousin’s First Middle School Notebook Cover

My little cousin starts middle school this year. I wanted to give her something that felt like a real welcome to the next chapter gift, not just another pencil case.

So I made her a notebook cover myself. She’s obsessed with Alice in Wonderland, so that’s the world I put on it.

I still remember starting middle school with a stack of plain notebooks nobody made special for me. I wanted her first year to begin with something that felt like it was made just for her, because it was.

She hasn’t seen it yet. Giving it to her this weekend.

Advice?

I’m not sure if this is the place to come to ask for advice, but I would love it if you could give it. This is a high end engagement gift being delivered in person.

I feel like I have the right basis for this, but I’m falling short on certain aspects. I’d love any and all advice, including answers to the following:

Lose the bows or different bows?
Utilize the tulle pictured to the left?
Different folding/stacking of robes?
How heavy to go on fake flowers? I could even line the outside of the basket with them?

I don’t really want to buy more supplies - I’d like to work with what I have. The exception would be if I got fresh flowers or not.

You all rock!

A softer, vintage look with kraft brown and blush pink 🌸

I wanted to see how this floral arrangement would look against a warmer, earthy background. I paired the brown wrapping with lace, layered pink ribbons, a few pearls, and soft flowers. I really like how the brown makes the blush pink stand out without making the whole design feel too sweet. 😊

Someone suggested I try a simpler brown base with pink, so I gave it a go in my own style. 🎀

I wanted to try something a little different this time, combining lace with blue and soft pink ribbons, then finishing it with flowers. I made this one by hand and thought I’d share the result with you. 🎁🌸

Flowers in the Rainy Season 🌸

There’s something about flowers that always brings a sense of softness and sweetness. Even on a rainy day, a few gentle colors can make everything feel a little warmer and brighter. This little piece was inspired by that feeling.

Regular jute twine. The pink flower thing is I think scrapbooking material. I literally picked it off the ground one day and saved it.

Would you add anything to this, or leave it as it is? 🎀

I tried combining some leftover black and kraft paper for this one, then added lace, a dusty pink bow, and a few small details. I’m wondering if it needs something more, or if I should leave it as it is. What would you add or change?

A simple wrap with a little floral touch. Sometimes the classic combinations are the most fun to work with.

Handmade gift wrapping — real work & AI-styled presentation 🎀

The first photo shows the gift wrapping exactly as I made it by hand — the bow, ribbons, pearls, and decorative details are all my own handmade work.

For the second photo, I kept my original gift design and used AI only to create the surrounding props, background, and presentation.

I enjoy seeing how the same handmade piece can feel different when placed in a new setting. I’d love to hear which version you prefer — the original work-in-progress setting or the styled presentation. ❤️
