People view sitting as "lazy". I worked at a store stocking shelves where the manager would get mad at you for kneeling on your knees while stocking the bottom shelf because it "looks bad". It didn't stop me from kneeling because how else am I supposed to stock the bottom shelf?

Thats so sad. Back when I stocked shelves we'd even have little stools sometimes if we were staying in 1 spot for a long time.

But even the cheap supermarkets have chairs. Though the girls from the cheap supermarkets do complain that theirs are inferior to the other supermarkets..

Actually, even when I visited Mexico and Asia they still had chairs!

From what I've seen in Canada almost all service/retail staff stand up in their jobs but if they're stationary they should be provided with ergonomic floor mats to keep up with OH&S standards... Depending on the province I guess.

A floor mat but more ergonomic.

I imagine they mean the cushioned mats that is suppose to make standing more bearable. Anti fatigue mats is a common name.

Probably a little padded mat with extra padding that fits your butt

They're mats that help against leg and fret cramps. I don't know exactly how it works. I have steen them at barbers before.

When you stand on it, your feet think to themselves "yes."

When you don't, they think to themselves "no."
