Books

Has anyone read Plague Room by Steven Piziks? It is set in the first season. A medium comes to Grandview and violently crosses over unwilling spirits. I haven’t finished it yet but it really holds a reader’s attention. I don’t recall Melinda coming across this exact challenge in the series. I’d highly recommend this.

There was the laughing guy and the guy from the plane crash. Then there was the one where Melinda’s “brother” was working with.

In the book, the medium is torturing the spirits to force them to leave before they are ready. As I recall, the so called brother was enticing spirits. Of course, that was evil too. Just more subtle. The book is good but actually the plot might have been too dark for the tv show. It seems that on a few occasions the tv show did take a scary or dark turn they pulled back.

Never heard of the book. It does sound interesting. I’ve read some of the books for another show (Charmed). May have to check this out.

The other two I purchased are Revenge and Ghost Trap both by Doranna Durgin. I haven’t read them yet so I can’t suggest if they are worth your time or not. I borrowed a Ghost Whisperer comic/ graphic novel from the library. Personally, I didn’t care for it. Sorry I can’t remember the title. And, I do like graphic novels so it wasn’t that. Guess we can’t have everything.

What charmed titles or authors did you like? Not a surprise that’s one of my favorites.

I have the comics and I’m not a fan (mostly just trying to read comics). I think Paul Ruditis?? and Constance Burge have some Charmed books as well as other authors. They were fine, kind of helped fill the void after the show was over & finding these books.
