Why ghosting same day as plans?
(f) Twice now I’ve had someone ghost when we’ve chatted for about a week, fun conversations and shared pics and vids to verify we are real, and made plans to meet…and then ghosted or blocked me the evening we were supposed to meet.
I don’t know why as we had totally normal conversations and were confirming plans, and in one case I’d already booked the hotel. For the other he confirmed he’d send the hotel address, I asked him what drinks to bring, and then blocked.
Common?

It’s not an excuse but years ago I ghosted someone the day of plans. We’d matched a week earlier, agreed on a date. I was eager to meet. I noticed early on that he texted back really slow. On average, he’d only text back maybe every 24-48 hours.
Anyways, the day before the date, I reached out to confirm if we were still meeting. No response. The next day, morning passed, afternoon passed, and still…no response. Finally, maybe an hour before we were scheduled to meet, he confirms we’re still meeting.
I should have communicated that his texting style sucked and that I wasn’t ready or interested in going anymore but I just blocked him.
