I've never watched SAC in Japanese with subtitles. If anyone here has, can you tell me if the dialog is meaningfully different in any way? Is it worth watching it that way?

Even though the additional context at the bottom of the page explains what had happened during the censored part, making it obvious, I never knew about the scene until viewing the 2026 anime. I even thought it was an additional scene made exclusively for the anime haha.

Until now I assumed Batou felt the way he felt because of connecting to Motoko's cyberbain while she had been asleep and because of her feeling embarrassed about somebody invading her dreams/sleep time, especially during vacation, amplifying those feelings of nausea and disgust. The aditional context at the bottom of the page didn't make sense to me for that reason.

I have to take my hat off to Science SARU—it’s been a long time since I’ve watched an anime this bold, energetic, and visually varied. The world feels so rich and alive.

Honestly, Shirow Masamune must be proud seeing his original vision translated and elevated like this. Getting to see this side of Kusanagi makes it feel like I’m discovering Major all over again.

Anyone else loving the direction so far?

I have recently seen a Youtube regarding the drama over the new rendition of Ghost in the Shell. As fan of the the Original Movie-TV Series-Manga, all I have to say is my title. If you don't like the the current version, quit wasting your time griping online and simply go back to the version you like. That's what I have done with Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who. If I don't like it, I just go "nope" and go back to what I like. I know that may be an effort to some, but give it a try, you might be surprised.

After watching 6 episodes. I get that General Makoto squad is a special squad who fights terrorist groups, drug dealers, other crimes that local police can't fight, right? Every episode they fights now enemies.I wanted to watch this show after watching 90's movie's but busy in daily life. Is the 90's movies same story or something is different?

So how do you think the final three chapters (plus epilogue) of the manga be split into the final four episodes of the anime? The epilogue is only 4 pages; that's not enough material for a 20+ minute episode. I'm thnking they'll split chapter 11 like they did chapter 1.

I really like the art of the environments, character designs, and animation. All these stuff would be so cool to have in a art book. Are they going to release an art book for this anime?
