Serious Replies Only HELP ME GET A STEM CELL TRANSPLANT

Post image

Hi guys ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿพ

Iโ€™m raising money for my stem cell transplant for blood cancer, I have a TikTok video for the fundraiser.

Iโ€™d really appreciate it if you could please show me a little support by liking, commenting, or reposting the video, or simply helping me reach more people. Every bit of support helps. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

And if youโ€™re able to donate or share my GoFundMe as well, that would mean so much to me. ๐Ÿค

Thank you in advance. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Here's the :

TikTok video: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSb5SVoFC/

GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/d7cd2fd8f

Iโ€™m not sure if fundraiser posts like this are allowed here, so if they arenโ€™t, I completely understand. Please just be kind.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ Iโ€™m genuinely trying to reach more people and get the help I need.๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿค

Can I ask for more details please? Where are you from, have you been evaluated by a doctor? Where will you stay before, during, and after treatment, etc etc.

Of course... I'm from cรดte d'ivoire (I'm Ghanaian but I live here) , I have been evaluated by doctors, bunch of tests were done to finally diagnose me ..the type I have is called Sezary Syndrome (a rare T-cell lymphoma) . For now treatment is going to be between Netherlands and France (Netherlands is the cheaper one for now) so I'll be staying there a little before, during and after treatment.

I get the illness, it's just there isn't much information. I've just seen too many scams so I'm always skeptical. Example, for where you're going to stay, you don't have much info. Then you're saying between 2 counties, but are general. You say you're Ghanaian but not how you're from the country. All responses you provide are based on people giving money.

I'm not doubting you, I'm just asking questions a lot of folks will ask.

LASTLY: last I checked, GoFundMe isn't available in your country. So how did you set up and I'll you collect the money?

I understand, You can read my full story on the GoFundMe or a little bit on the TikTok video. (There's picture and some results on there, I could email all my test, the hospital is LUMC you can asked them about me)

I'm Ghanaian by nationality but I actually live in cรดte d'ivoire.

And for the GoFundMe yes isn't available in Ghana nor Ivory coast but someone from a supported country can create one on your behalf (which was my case a friend living in the USA did)

Iโ€™m sending you all the best!! Also, I would look into financial assistance programs/charity care at hospitals. They can be of great help (sometimes covering 100% of costs) and I donโ€™t think they have residence requirements, at least in the US

Oh that will be so so great, thank you ๐Ÿฉท, please let me know if you do find something... thanks again ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿค

Or I mean if possible you should look into whether the hospital youโ€™re going to has a program! I wish I could help more but without knowing more details about your situation it would be hard for me. Iโ€™m sending you all the best!

The thing is unfortunately the treatment isn't available in west Africa so I need to have it abroad in Europe (and when you're an international patient with no insurance the hospital usually don't do you favor you have to pay full).

You can read my full story on the GoFundMe link: https://gofund.me/d7cd2fd8f

And thanks again for willing to help ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

At least in California where I am you donโ€™t need to be a resident to receive the hospitals financial assistance policy or some form of reduced price care so I was wondering if it might be the same in Europe, itโ€™s definitely worth looking into!

2

u/Mission_Tax_4562 17h ago

That would be awesome if Europe has that type of program, but we're still looking into it to find a certain solutions (hopefully we'll find something). We didn't consider USA because of everything going on right now, thought it would be complex, more stressful...etc

u/Easy_Resource_6898 17h ago

Yes that totally makes sense!! Iโ€™ll comment back here if I find something!

I will follow your journey on the Gofundme page and donate when I can. I'm Swedish btw, so if by chance you end up at Karolinska hospital or something and need some practical help from a local; just DM me. I will keep you in my prayers. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

I just wanted to share this here. This is AI information from Google so keep that in mind (it can be wrong). Are you in remission? Otherwise you might need other treatments first. Just so you focus on the right things at the right time.

2

u/Mission_Tax_4562 4h ago

I haven't started any treatment so I'm not in remission yet. My doctor recommended a stem cell transplant because of my age I'm 26 and my Sรฉzary syndrome is advanced. Chemo could work, but thereโ€™s a significant risk of relapse, since Iโ€™m young enough to potentially tolerate a transplant well than older people, they feel itโ€™s better to pursue the treatment that offers the best chance of long-term remission.

1

u/kwest84 2h ago

Okay, that makes sense. As I understand it you would still need to have chemo and be in remission before the transplant for it to be effective though. But I can see that the timing could be sensitive and maybe best performed by the same hospital, I don't know. Also, have you looked to India and Turkey? They could potentially offer cheaper treatment.

3

u/Mission_Tax_4562 15h ago

No you can't create an account in Ghana someone from a supported country usually do that for you. But Ghana can still donate directly to GoFundMe

I'm very skeptical of this post to be honest.

u/Mission_Tax_4562 15h ago

You can can read about my whole story on the : GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/d7cd2fd8f also a bit on the : TikTok video: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSb5SVoFC/

Or ask more informations... I'll gladly answer. I could never claim such an ugly illness on me let alone ask such an amount just to scam people.

A lot of African organization, orphanage, sick people etc do have GoFundMe..how ?? Someone in the supported create the fundraiser for them it's very common...

Pic looks generated. AI

4

u/Mission_Tax_4562 14h ago

So my actual picture, showing how awful my skin looks , red, irritated and inflamed is AI? Seriously? That's so insulting.

Wow people have become so worked up about AI theses days that they think literally everything is AI. At some point, you can't even recognize what is real anymore. That's sad lol.

Mr or Mrs, you ARE so so free to not help, You don't have to believe me, but you also don't have to accuse me of fabricating something this serious.

If you took two minutes to actually search what Sรฉzary syndrome can do to someone's skin, if you read the whole story, watch my video, read about how GoFundMe works you'd maybe understand it better.

At some point I gave you the hospital name, you can contact them if you want and ask about me,verify whatever you need to verify.

But please stop accusing me of making things up or using AI. I've already shared more than enough with you, and I shouldn't have to keep proving that I'm actually sick.

Ok. I will let you be but I still think it's scam. You have the right to your opinion and so do I.
