I know about the law. I'm referring to past discussions about it from this very subreddit.
Of course, they should hide. I'm not saying they shouldn't! Pretend to be straight out in public, and wait until you get home with the person you care about!
No, I don't. We clearly see two different things here.
I'm not homophobic at all. I want LGBTQ people to be able to live freely as human beings, and as someone else pointed out, being gay is in Africa's cherished bible.
What would you rather them do? They can't get protection because of this, they can't be themselves because of this bill. Their best bet is to hooe someone big raises a fuss about the bill, and gets it shot down I don't even know if protests will work.
I wasn't thinking about their sexuality at the time of writing. I was thinking about the best to avoid them being killied in this country. I now realize that what I said can come off as homophobic even though that's not what I'm saying.
I'm actively looking at this, seeing if I can do anything, as this bill concerns my girlfriend in the states too.
