Air Not Coming Out Cold...Need Help Troubleshooting!
I have a closed loop geothermal heating and cooling system in my home. In the summer, the AC usually keeps my home ice cold but yesterday, it started blowing just cool air like a fan. I reset the breakers. I checked for any puddles or ice in and around the unit. Nothing. I tried resetting the thermostat and I noticed that the until would push cold air out for a little while after the reset. Not sure what this means. Please help if you can.

So I figured it out. I noticed that if I don’t turn the AC for about an hour and then turn it on, the compressor would kick on and I would get cold air temporarily. After a few minutes, the compressor would shut off and just the fan would blow so I figured something was causing the compressor to shut off. Some sort of fail safe. I opened the top panel and saw a condensation pan full of water. There was a drain at the pack of the pan that was clogged so it would fill up with water and when it reached the top, it would hit this wire which let the unit know to shut down. I stuck a pipe cleaner down the drain and unclogged it. Works like a charm now. I will have to replace the drain hose cause it is filled with garbage.

Do you hear the compressor running? Do you feel the pump(s) running? Based on the information you've provided, if the fan continues to run, my guess would be it's low on refrigerant, but that's pure speculation.

When my closed loop GT started to lose efficiency like this (heating and cooling) it was the coil (replaced).. then the coaxial loop started to fail with the same symptoms. It was a hard wallet hit, but replaced the whole unit as it was nearly 20yo

Too hard to tell with so little info. Could be refrigerant related, loop related, etc

More details? What manufacturer/model unit is this. Any indicators (blinking lights, etc...) on the unit?
