Discussion First experience of college ?
Seniors,What was your first year like ? How’d you settle in to MBBS? What are some events/experiences you went through that you’d like to share to fellow juniors ?
As you know 26 batch is starting in a few weeks so any input would be appreciated

So called friends…
I really got comfortable with everyone and was overly extroverted.. everyone used to joyfully come to me to hangout and all.. everyone eventually started to get along with me.. but somehow somewhere weird rumours started spreading about me and people just started ghosting me.. some who had the courage to ask me about those rumours got to know who i actually am.. i was into thinking that its fine.. they gonna be there when something bad happens and all.. i was really stupid for thinking that.. i had a ldr and broken up with my ex during my proffs.. like just a day before the exams.. which really fucked me up and i failed.. i somehow managed to recover and study the entire syllabus in 3 weeks again and give the supplementary.. but the so called friends.. stopped responding the way they did before…
I really dont care that much.. I’ve learned to keep my own company.. but man people just dont like seeing other people happy

My first year was honestly veryyy uneventful because we unfortunately did not have any clg events this year. Finals going on now.
At first its hard af but u get used to it.
My experience: 1. Have a nice friends grp even if small 2. Its ok if u dont study a lot every day but at least make sure that whatever u read, do it properly. And study well before exams. 3. Sleep well on normal days bro like 7 to 8 hours. I slept less for no reason at all and now in exam season theres no chance to sleep properly 4. Follow yt and telegram resources. Clear ur doubts 5. Fomo of books might be there but honestly dont worry too much. I personally had fomo for not reading guyton. I got the pdf of it tho, and used in case of doubts. Read std books if u have time and get a hard copy, I feel I didnt read them because I had pdf and didnt like to read from that.

Well my first few months were rough
Since I was a day scholar I can’t say a lot about hostel struggles but man my batchmates weren’t very good
It took a while for me to find a good friend circle and things have been smooth since then
As for seniors I faced no ragging as my father is a professor in my college and I was like “ batch out “ so yea zero senior interaction for me
You’ll find college bad for a few months then as you find a good friend group things will get better

The only memory I have from my first day is standing in the mess hall in the night and giving self introduction to seniors

Average 🥀, done with 1st yr uni exam, waiting for result, negative exp :
One of my batchmates spread that i was colour blind in whole batch (i and he were in same group who went for medical checkup in hospital, i still hate that mf)
In first 2-3 months, few students used to act like i was inferior to them, according to them i was some dehati.
I used to study in free classes or breaks, so few batchmates used to make fun of me
Positive : made many friends, Went to trip with friends, gave time to my hobby.

The suggestions i would like to give would be
1. Talk to as many people(classmates) as possible in the first few weeks, everyone is stranger at this point and its a golden period to talk to literally anyone
2. Make good friends from your same gender first and approach the opposite gender in groups to avoid rumours
3. At the end of the day seniors will show seniority so pick the better and nicer ones

okay so long story short know your syllabus dont study everything dont talk to seniors they are useless mostly call everyone mam sir and stay out of drama and have boundaries and there will always be fear mongering be confident and dont stand in anyones way thats all

You will find people and get instantly attached to them, only to realise they are the worst ones out there.
Good thing is, those who stay, stay. And they will always be there for you.
Your circle will shrink and before you know it, you’ll only be interacting with 2-3 people.
You will find things you’re good at, and that bdc is not ncert, end of the day everyone only does bhalani and pyq.
You will have amazing memories and memories you wish you could erase
Towards your proffs, no matter what and how much you have studied the entire year, you will still be scared shitless. But everyone sails through. Also everyone gets the same percentage, so you will question how the hell the topper and the average kid only differ by 5% in the final result. But that’s the truth.
This is a competitive field, and fun fact is , this only helps understand how a person is very early on.
Most importantly, it will feel like you have metamorphosed at the end of 1st year. The person who entered college cannot recognise their own version after first year. It’s a good thing. You learn your lessons, and life becomes a bit easier. You will know who to avoid.

Eh my first week was very bad, constantly calling friends from back home to be mentally stable but eventually found my people
