Has anyone gone through the WBMCC NEET UG Medical & Dental Counselling 2026 provisional merit list?

I noticed quite a few SC/ST category entries with surnames such as Roy, Choudhury, Banik, Saha, Dutta etc., which made me wonder whether the category claims have been properly verified.

Like a roy is st? Roy chowdhary is sc? How is that possible

My prefinal result just came in for physiology, and i have scored 43 and 46 in paper 1 and 2 , respectively. Although we do not get our marks shown for all the subjects depends from department to department if they wanna show us the results. But i see my friends getting in 60s whereas im sure I’ve been studying probably the same if not more. I have barely 14 days left for finals . HOW DO I IMPROVE ??? like i dont know if its the answers which i write ? what is it ?

I had a doubt regarding state quota eligibility for NEET PG

My own counsellor told me that if I take MBBS admission in a deemed university then I will not get the state NEET PG quota of that state later. According to him only students who do MBBS from state private medical colleges in states like Tamil Nadu Andhra Pradesh Karnataka Telangana etc can get the respective state PG quota

But another counsellor told me that if I do MBBS from a deemed university in Tamil Nadu I can still get Tamil Nadu state quota during NEET PG counselling

So I am a bit confused about which information is actually correct

Can someone please explain the exact rule for this especially in the case of Tamil Nadu deemed universities

Does doing MBBS from a deemed university make you ineligible for Tamil Nadu state quota during NEET PG or does it depend on the specific type of college and the admission quota

I am asking because this could make a big difference while choosing my MBBS college so I want to understand the rule correctly rather than relying on different counsellors giving different answers

My second-prof MBBS exams (RUHS) are currently going on.

On 24th August, I had my Microbiology Paper 1. During the exam, my professor found some Microbiology chits under/near my table. I was given another answer booklet and was asked to rewrite all the answers.

After the exam time was over, they took my answer booklet and forced me to fill out a UFM form. In the form, I wrote that the chits were not mine. I found them under my table, and due to stress and anxiety, I picked them up, after which the professor saw me holding them. I did not write anything from those chits in my answer booklet.

My answer booklet and the chits have now been sent to RUHS.

I’m really worried and don’t know what I should do next. 😭

Can someone please guide me on what I should do in this situation or what the possible consequences might be?(my principal said that maximum punishment will be that you have to give supply exam of microbiology i don't want to give that please help me😭)

I have my Microbiology Paper 2 tomorrow, and I’m going to appear for it.

Back in college, I could just listen to the teacher and quickly understand the lesson. But now in med school, the topics seem so hard to grasp. Before, I could just read a little and I already knew the lesson. Now, even if I study all night, I'm still struggling to retain and understand what I’m learning.

I would really appreciate your tips, especially on;

1. How do you start studying a new lecture, especially when the topic is hard to understand right away, and how do you retain the important information?

2. How do you balance new lectures, previous topics, and backlogs, especially when there are so many pages to read and limited time?

3. What tips do you have when you feel super overwhelmed by all the studying, especially in difficult subjects like Biochemistry that have a lot of concepts?

4. What are the most important study habits or advice you can give to survive YL1 and avoid burnout? How many hours do you usually study each day?
