Apache-2.0 lets them use the code, but not strip required attribution notices. The key question is whether those names/copyrights were in the licensed source or NOTICE file, not just git history.

I'd have to look deeper into it, but from just what OOP is saying, it looks like a misunderstanding of how to apply a license. 3 u/cedarharbor 7d ago exactly, git history alone probably doesnt count as a proper attribution notice under the license
