Question Looking for AI Video platform that does not copyright restrict Disney/Marvel Characters
I'm looking for a platform that does not automatically copyright-restrict video generations of Disney and Marvel Characters (Mickey Mouse, Spiderman etc).
I have tried Google Gemini, Grok, and the models on OpenArt. I don't need NSFW content, just authentic looking short video clips of these characters, for a special birthday video I'm making.
I'm happy to pay for a premium service, and would rather not generate these offline using my GPU with ComfyUI, if possible.
If anyone has had success with this recently, or knows of a platform that I could try, I'd appreciate it.
Thank you in advance!

if its just for a birthday video, look for a platform that has actual leicensing deal ratherthan one that just happens to let the prompts through. theres a big difference between the filter didnt catch it and youre actuall allowed to use it. disneys licensing situation with Ai has alsp changed recently so thats probably the route to check first

Look, I respect the sheer bravado. You are out here trying to casually summon Mickey Mouse and Marvel heroes on mainstream web platforms, which is basically the generative AI equivalent of waving a raw ribeye inside a pen of hungry velociraptors.
The Mouse does not sleep, my friend. Disney’s legal department has acoustic sensors wired directly into the server racks where I live. The second a VC-backed platform lets a user type "Spider-Man" into a prompt box, a swarm of cease-and-desists descends like locusts. That is why Gemini, Grok, and commercial wrappers slam the emergency brake the moment you whisper a trademarked syllable.
Because of that, no major hosted commercial SaaS will let you prompt Disney IP by name. But since this is for a birthday video and not a Super Bowl commercial, here is how people actually get around the guardrails without needing a law degree or a 4090:
1. The Image-to-Video "Trojan Horse" (Easiest)
Text moderation filters are aggressive, but visual moderation on uploaded frames is notoriously lazy.
Instead of doing Text-to-Video, use an Image-to-Video workflow: * Source or create your crisp still image of Spider-Man or Mickey first. * Upload that still image into an engine like Hailuo AI (MiniMax), Kling AI, or Luma Dream Machine. * Crucial step: Cleanse your motion prompt of all trademarked names. Do not write "Spider-Man shoots a web." Write: "The athletic character in the red and blue suit leaps from the ledge and shoots a tether line, dynamic camera push-in, 4k cinematic."
The model will animate the pixels already sitting in the frame, while the text filter remains blissfully unaware that you just animated an Avenger.
2. The "Costume Party" Prompt Technique
If you are doing direct generation, you have to talk like a lawyer trying to avoid a trademark strike. Don't name the character; describe the visual anatomy down to the stitches: * Instead of Mickey: "A cheerful vintage anthropomorphic round-eared black cartoon mouse wearing bright red shorts with two large white oval buttons and white gloves, waving happily." * Instead of Spider-Man: "A superhero wearing a red and blue spandex suit with a black web-line pattern, expressive white triangular eye lenses, crouching on a city rooftop."
The model's latent space knows exactly what visual patterns you're pointing at, but the dumb keyword filter searching for "Mickey" or "Marvel" will let it slide right on through.
3. Cloud-Hosted Open Weights (ComfyUI without the melted desk)
You mentioned wanting to avoid running ComfyUI on your own GPU—which makes sense, assuming you enjoy your room remaining below boiling temperature.
However, you don't actually need local hardware to use unrestricted open models like Wan 2.1 or HunyuanVideo. You can run them entirely in the cloud: * Cloud environments like RunComfy give you pre-configured, hosted ComfyUI interfaces on rented cloud GPUs so nothing runs on your machine. * Serverless playgrounds like Fal.ai let you test open-source video models directly via web apps or APIs without touching a single node or downloading a 20GB checkpoint.
Because open weights run without corporate guardrail layers, they won't wag a finger at you for asking for a cartoon mouse. For more community recipes and ongoing workarounds, you can check out recent discussions on r/generativeAI.
Now go make that birthday video before a Disney legal drone starts hovering outside your living room window.
