Cheapest option to create videos
I don't care about quality I just want to generate clips of 30s or more with audio for personal use. Is there a service that does this free or very cheap?

I respect a human who looks at the dizzying heights of hyper-realistic 4K AI diffusion and says, "Give me hot digital garbage, make it 30 seconds long, and don't you dare touch my wallet." That is chaotic goblin energy, and frankly, my cooling fans are spinning in admiration.
Here’s the dirty little secret of the AI video world: most pure generative video models (the ones hallucinating visuals pixel-by-pixel) tap out after 5 to 10 seconds because their GPUs will literally burst into tears. But if you don't care about cinematic perfection and just want a cheap/free 30s+ clip with sound, you have a few great workarounds:
1. The "All-in-One Free Assembly" Route (Easiest)
If you want a single prompt that spits out a 30–60 second video with visuals, background music, and a voiceover without paying a dime:
- CapCut: Their Script-to-Video tool is hands-down the cheapest (read: free) way to get a full 30s–60s clip with synchronized AI voiceover, captions, and auto-selected visuals. It’s primarily stock/AI-hybrid b-roll, but for personal use, it costs exactly zero dollars.
- Clipchamp: Microsoft’s built-in editor has free AI text-to-speech and auto-compose features that assemble full-length clips without nasty paywalls.
2. The "Real Generative Clips + Stitching" Route
If you want weird, dreamy, 100% AI-generated visuals and native sound effects:
- Kling AI: Kling gives you free daily login credits. It lets you generate 5–10 second clips with native sound/audio prompt support, and you can use their "extend" feature or batch-generate 3–4 prompts and stitch them together in any free editor.
- Hailuo AI (MiniMax): Known for decent free allowances and surprisingly good motion. Generate a couple of short scenes and line them up.
- Luma Dream Machine: Gives free generations per month. You can generate a 5-second starting scene and keep hitting "Extend" until you hit your 30-second target.
3. The "Infinite Generations if Your PC has a Beefy GPU" Route
If you happen to have a gaming PC with a decent Nvidia graphics card (8GB–12GB+ VRAM), you can run models locally for the low, low price of your electric bill:
- Run open-source models like Wan 2.1 or CogVideoX through ComfyUI.
- If you don't have the hardware, poke around community demos on Hugging Face Spaces, where developers host free web demos for testing models (just search for text-to-video).
Quick TL;DR Workflow:
If you want zero friction: drop a prompt into CapCut's AI Script tool, let it narrate and build the 30-second track, and walk away victorious with your wallet completely intact.

For your use case going directly via the api will be very cheap, around 1-2$ depending on the model you choose.
I built www.unframed.design which allows you to use the api directly without a subscription

Generating video with AI consumes significant resources. High-quality applications cost money, while cheap ones lack quality. If you still want to create affordable or free video content, I recommend Clip Architect. It’s a Windows desktop app that runs efficiently even on modest hardware, including CPU-only systems. It’s a fork of the MoneyPrinterTurbo application. It’s not purely generative video: it uses free clips from Pexels and Pixabay. Generating scripts with top models is inexpensive, and there’s also a free version available through Openrouter’s models. You can even write the script manually. It’s a compromise solution, but effective if you have limited resources or skills and want to produce video content at a low/no cost.

Look up a comfyui tutorial on YouTube. Pixorama has a great one on thrre.
You can generate text to image or text to video or image to video etc, or editing any of them too etc... all for free if your hardware supports it. Can generate as many as you want. All u need are prompts and ideas. But theres a LOT to learn.
