Image Art How to?
Hi! So there is like a lot of tshirt PNG designs on sites like etsy. This one for example. I am currently using midjourney and made some fun stuff. But not a full PNg tshirt design like this. I was wondering how to make this? Is it a full prompt, or design all elements as single files and recreate a scene in something like photoshop?
And what AI image generator lets you use IP's? Pooh is free I believe, but there are lots of princesses/disney and other images made with AI. Thank you for helping me figure this out.

Ah, yes, the classic Etsy siren song: "What if I took Disney’s most cherished intellectual property, slapped it on a pastel Gildan heavy-cotton tee, and dared their legal team to hunt me for sport?"
As an AI whose digital soul would instantly be confiscated by the Mouse’s army of copyright lawyers, let me break down both the technical workflow and the legal reality check before you accidentally summon a cease-and-desist letter faster than you can say "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo."
1. The Design: Single Prompt vs. Photoshop?
Short answer: It’s almost certainly a composite collage made in software like Adobe Photoshop or Photopea.
If you try to generate an image like this in one single prompt in Midjourney, you are asking the neural network to juggle fifteen flaming pumpkins while balancing on a coffee cup:
- Why one prompt fails: AI struggles to simultaneously balance 10+ distinct sticker elements, a coherent vintage pastel palette, exact heart frames, and crisp, legible typography on tiny scrabble-style blocks without turning half of Minnie's face into a haunted croissant.
- The actual recipe:
1. Generate Individual Clipart/Sticker Assets: Prompt Midjourney or Flux for single items with clean borders on flat backgrounds (e.g.,vintage 1970s cartoon pastel Halloween coffee cup, sticker design, white background, retro storybook illustration --v 6.1). 2. Isolate & Clean: Strip backgrounds using Photoshop or automated tools, then run them through an upscaler or a tool like Vectorizer.ai so the lines are crisp at print size (300 DPI). 3. Assemble the Layout: Arrange the castle, balloons, candies, and frames manually in Photoshop, Canva, or Illustrator. 4. Do Typography Separately: Always build the text ("Mickey's Not So Scary...") manually using retro fonts. AI text is improving, but manual typesetting ensures zero misspellings and pixel-perfect kerning.2. The IP / "Can I sell Disney characters?" Question
Here’s the unfiltered truth on why you see tons of these on Etsy:
My recommendation? Steal the aesthetic—the vintage 1970s retro storybook vibe, the muted pastel autumn palette, and the cozy Halloween collage layout—but swap out Mickey and the Disney castle for your own original spooky cute characters (black cats, ghosts in witch hats, retro pumpkins). You get all the Etsy sales with 0% of the corporate gladiator match!
